As any cat parent knows, getting pills into a cat is a challenge; the foaming, drooling and subsequent struggle each time thereafter is hardly worth the cure. We used treat pockets to hide medication until our cats became wary of them. Our cats' veterinarian actually sent us the link to this product as a solution to pilling our cat with a particularly unpalatable medication. We simply cut the tablets into pieces that fit into the gel caps and then pill our cat with a pill gun without him tasting the medicine. The same vet also suggested combining two medications into one gel cap to only have to pill him once which works well too. I highly recommend these easy-to-use gel caps for either combining medications or reducing the aftertaste of unpalatable medications for cats.

These have been working well for my cat's medications. While I have used other brands, often other brands have the caps come in one bag and the bodies in another. While that works well if I'm preparing say 100 capsules of herbal supplements in a pill tray, I usually only make about a week's worth of pills for my cat at a time. Being able to get seven capsules out and separate, fill, and reassemble at one time makes it more convenient. In order to keep them fresh, I take out about a third of these and put them into a snack-portion sized ziploc and pull from there so I'm not constantly opening and closing the main bag allowing air and moisture to degrade the capsules more quickly.

My old kitteh needs a variety of pills and powders to manage his chronic kidney disease and these capsules make twice daily dosing more pleasant for both of us. Size 3 capsules fit 1-2 pills depending on size, and can be filled with powder, to make administration of bitter-tasting medication easier. A quick dip in wet food to make it slide down his throat followed by a little water from a syringe for good measure and you're done! Quality capsules at a great price with quick Amazon delivery. They are ok, and do the job, but I found the colored ones easier to work with.

I use these for my cats pills. I put her two pills in one capsule. It is much easier and I don’t have to worry about the pills dissolving if she spits them out. I can just take the capsule and give it to her again. Before the capsules the pills would dissolve and make her drool. These are a lifesaver since she has to take it 3 times a day. These are a great value and open easy and go back together easily. I haven’t had any problems with them.

These are great and we have been using these for about a year now. My son has to take one a day with his meds that I have to fill these with and they are strong enough not to ever break on me and stay together while storing. My son has never had any problems swallowing these or commented that they taste bad either.... He said he's never really tasted anything when swallowing these. I recommend these for sure. Due to a variety of health issues, our daughter takes quite a few meds. Some of them are very small and she can’t always tell if she has swallowed them. When I found these empty capsules, I got them in every size and now the whole swallowing experience is much better for her. For larger pills, I put them in larger capsules which makes them easier to swallow than a dry pill is. For smaller ones, I often combine 3-4 into a capsule giving her fewer pills to swallow. I can’t say enough good things about these capsules.

My cat with kidney disease has to have three medications on a daily basis, omeprazole beads, a quarter of a cerebral tablet and half a mertazipine tablet. He hates me shoving tablets down his throat and the halved tablets taste so much worse for him. These capsules have been a godsend, I now put the bits of tablet into one capsule; there is no taste when given and it all does down in one go.
