Can you use this on clothes? I need my boy's name on his t-shirt.

Yes, you can use it on clothes, but I would suggest writing on the tag and not the shirt itself. On some fabrics the ink tends to blur and may show thru the t-shirt itself.

Is this better to get an autograph on a shirt than a normal sharpie? Will it stay on longer?

Yes, they are better for cloth & will last through many launderings.

Are these markers any different than regular Sharpie fine tip markers?

I cannot tell much difference between regular BLACK Sharpie fine tip markers and these, as far as the marks they make. They do seem to hold up better through numerous washings better than the regular Sharpie markers. However, I have been disappointed in the WHITE laundry markers. They are filled with a paint-like substance that flakes off after a few washings. I tried to use the silver regular Sharpie on dark clothes after the WHITE rub-a-dub was such a failure, but they wash out, too, after a few washings. I still would like to find the "perfect" marker for marking on dark clothes, but I haven't found one yet.

How well do these markers write on felt?

Sorry Michael - I've never tried to write with them on felt. I did use them on a sort of stretchy material, pulled it sort of taut, and it worked pretty well...
