Although the description states that it is dishwasher safe. It is absolutely not. Water will get into the handle and eventually that will cause mold. Video of the water right out of the dishwasher. There’s no way to dry it out. I bought this one specifically because it said dishwasher safe so extremely disappointed.

This is a fine little scoop. I would highly recommend that Amazon ask sellers to add a scoop size guide with the scoops they're selling. I saw the size of the scooped cookie dough that was shown along with the scoop and thought that it would serve very well, as that and using it to scoop muffin batter into baking pans was my reason for buying one. It is not the best size, as it takes one and a half scoops of batter for the correct amount. The one I bought is a #40. Other than the size, it's a good, sturdy scoop. It would be okay for making small cookies and mini muffins.
