Great little case
This is a great, affordable, protective case for larger GPS units. Having recently picked up a Garmin 2555LMT unit, I went on the hunt for some form of protective case, as we will be moving it among three vehicles between my wife and myself. it's not a Pelican case, but I don't expect it to be, especially for such a great price. It feels very well made, all the stitching is well done, there are no outside seams, and the zipper is a good density (not so coarse as to be hard to use, but not so fine that it would be susceptible to damage). It is roomy enough that it easily stores the 2555LMT and its somewhat bulky Traffic-enabling power cable. The windshield mount obviously won't fit, but that doesn't matter as much to us. Time will tell in terms of wear and tear, and I'll update this review if anything crops up, but I would definitely not hesitate to pick up another one of these cases, should the need arise.

Great case for my Nuvi 1450 LMT
Overall this is a great case to give your gps good protection. The case is more of a stiff case rather than a hard case, but still better than a soft case. PROS -looks great and feels well made -space for the gps and car charger (even with the traffic receiver being built in to the charger) THINGS I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE -better divider/gps slot -----I wish the little slab that held the gps was thicker and higher, thicker so that there was more protection from the charger scratching the screen and taller so it covered the whole screen. I have the screen facing the outside of the case to avoid this, but i would prefer to have the screen facing the inside. -padding -----There is really no padding in this case besides the case itself. The case feels tough enough while still having flex to absorb shock, but i would have liked to have seen some padding Overall a great case, and even though i think some things could be better, for the price its an amazing case that offers good protection for your gps.

Good case, but large
I bought this case to protect my new vehicle GPS unit (a Garmin Nuvii). When not using the GPS, I place it in the center console between the front bucket seats of my vehicle. Other items also get stuffed into the console so I needed something to keep the screen of the GPS unit from getting scratched. The case certainly does that. It is a hard case and provides excellent protection. The Garmin GPS unit (a 5 inch Nuvii) fits in the case perfectly. The only downside to the case is that it makes a fairly large GPS unit even larger when fitting into a vehicle console. It is a workable solution for my Toyota RAV4, but might be more problematic for other vehicles (if you want to put other stuff in as well). If all you are using the console storage areas (or glove boxes) is for the GPS unit, then you would not have a problem (unless you have a really small glove box). I recommend this case, but with the reservation that you confirm that there is adequate space where you intend to keep the encased GPS unit.

semi hard case for 5" gps & power cord
Just to give everyone a heads-up this case is firm, not hard, and a bit too big if you are space conscious. When originally purchasing this case I didn't pay attention to the dimensions so when it came I was a bit surprised, but overall I'm happy with it. The construction and quality seem good so far. The case has a pocket on one side where you can slide gps unit in and a large main compartment space where the power cord can fit. One tip is to face the screen away from the main compartment to reduce the chance of it getting scratched by the cord. The compartment is not large enough to fit the cord and mount, but you can easily carry the mount without a case or if you have multiple mounts then you can easily use this case for storage when transporting it from vehicle to vehicle. The case is not hard but it's good enough in most situations. If you're worried about heavy objects being dropped on it or...perhaps someone jumping on it then it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Excellent case for the money and size.
Arrived on time and packaged well in a cardboard box. It is well built; has a semi hard shell; soft material on the interior to protect the GPS; zipper works; it has a compartment in its lid and a tub like space in the bottom. I have a new Garmin Drive 50 with dimensions 5.5 x 3.5.x 1. The GPS fits snugly in the top compartment and will not fall out; the car power adapter and cord fit easily into the tub bottom. I have a previous Garmin AC adapter that will not fit in the case due to its AC prongs. The suction cup is too big in diameter to coexist in the bottom tub along with the GPS in the lid compartment. The GPS mount once detached from the suction cup will fit in the bottom tub along with the power cord. This case does what I expected it to; good case to protect the GPS from scratches. Happy Camper

a reliable storage option for GPS and many more
This item is sold as a GPS carrying case and it does the job perfectly, but it can be used to store many other delicate items as long as they fit in. I have had this for more than a year and no problems so far. Pros: - It is made of a considerably rigid material (thick cardboard or something like that) and a good quality synthetic fabric coating. If you put this in a confined area where it sits with other items, the rigid material protects the possible damage or scratches that comes from outside -There is a pocket type separated area where I put the actual device (you may prefer putting notes and other stuff in as well). It is of elastic structure and keeps the device tightly in place so that it does not jump around in the case. Besides I put the device facing outwards and this ensures any additional stuff you put in the case does not scratch the actual gps screen (for me no additional screen protector is needed) -The interior is quite spacious and the GPS charger can easily be put in that space with all cords and everything. Cons (nothing major but still something to mention) -Although it is rigid and that prevents harm from outside mostly, it does not have a soft pillow type buffer zone to minimize the impact so if that item falls from 5-6 feet (like the top of the fridge) the impact may still be bad for the device itself. -It would be nice if it had a handle for easier carrying. Conclusion: My overall impression is that this is a reliable storage for a GPS device. Does the job perfectly for a 5" one and for the quality it is a good value for money. I believe it will last for a long, long time...

Good case for a GPS and charger
Took a chance and ordered this case for my new Garmin Nuvi 50. Overall I am pretty happy with it. The GPS (the case is designed for 5" screen GPS units) fits perfectly and snug and isn't likely to come out. There is also plenty of room for the charger. The case zips closed and the case itself is pretty sturdy. Wouldn't call it a "hard" case but it's not soft either. Somewhere in the middle and I feel it would protect the GPS unit pretty well from a fall. The only negative I have about the case (which is minor so I still gave it a 5 star review) is that the case does not open fully. It opens about half way because of two "bands" on either side that prevent it from fully opening. I suppose you could cut the two bands and let it open fully if you needed to. It does open enough to fit everything in though, but if you have large hands, it makes it a little tougher to get the GPS unit out.

5.5インチポータブルナビ用に購入。ハードケース仕様なので、普通に扱っていれば液晶画面が破損することは無さそうです。この価格でこのクオリティであれば不満はありません。

Basic nice leather case
I have a 5 inch gps, a Garmin one. I protected it very nice for 2 years inside a paper air bubble envelope, 1 envelope costs half a Euro to 1 Euro (half a pound to less than one pound, the Euro is somewhat "cheaper" than the UK pound). The big downsides of this envelope: the gps cable was not inside the envelope (I was carrying inside a backpack or I was leaving it in the gloves box), I had to keep the envelope inside the box of the technical book of the car for some added protection, even if I took good care of how to handle the gps while not using it, it was not presentable (not that you want to show off with a GPS). So I decided to "jump" from the 1 Euro/2 years (1 envelope lasts without any issues for 2 years) to the 10 Euro carrying case. Just for the try. Up to now, the positive points of the bag: it protects better than the air bubble envelope and it's by far more presentable; the gps cable has plenty of space inside, it is a well built product. The big disadvantage: it is definitely much bulkier than the air bubble envelope, you need a small handbag to carry it and you may find that the "small" handbag has to be the size of a lady's medium size purse... The pictures on Amazon are perfect for describing how the case looks like. So, basic conclusion: it is a good case. I will write a new review in about 2 years (or faster if the case appearance will degrade notably). If you want value for your money, you need a bit more attention, buy a bubble envelope and carry your gps, 1 Euro (1 Pound) for 2 years. If you want a bit more of nice looking carrying conditions, this case is a very nice kit for any 5 inch GPS. Some people are complaining about the "inside space" of this case: I'm saying that the big inside space is perfect , my GPS cable would not have sufficient space inside if the case wouldn't be this size.
