So good, I bought three.
I bought one for my workroom (where I hang dry laundry) and one for the basement, and I liked them so well that I bought a third one for the other half of the basement. It is stupidly easy to set up and use and even easier to empty out the tank. The first day I used it in my workroom, I was shocked at how dry the laundry was: before, the laundry wouldn't dry even after days on the drying rack because of how humid it is where I live on the seacoast. And it's shockingly quiet, about the level of noise of a fridge – I can't hear it at all if I leave the room. Important things to know: * You can't immediately use it. It needs at least 24 hrs to settle, apparently? I assume it has something to do with the refrigerant. * It comes with wheels but no instructions on how to put them on. There are padded stickers over some holes at the bottom of the thing, and I presume that's where the wheels go (since that's where I put them), but it's not a quick, snap-into-place sort of thing, it's a "am I even putting this in right, well it's working so I guess I am" sort of thing. They do work, and you can wheel it around fine afterwards, it's just frustrating the first time. I put the wheels on the ones in the basement but kept the padded stickers for the one upstairs on my hardwood floors. * The tank is very small (maybe about 2 liters?) if you don't have a way of continuously draining. We don't have a drain in our basement, which is why we need a dehumidifier, so we need to empty it out a lot. The good news is that the effects are cumulative: over time, the amount of water in the air goes down, so it takes longer and longer for the tank to fill up. When we started, the one in my workroom (which has a very small area) needed to be drained about every twelve hours or so; now it can go for over a day without needing to be emptied. * The dehumidifier will also automatically stop when the water is about half an inch from the top of the tank. I appreciate this because I did worry that it would stop when it was full to the brim and then I wouldn't be able to drain it without dripping water on the floor. I can take a full tank upstairs from the basement to dump it in the tub without spilling anything. * After it automatically stops, it beeps at you fifteen times, loudly. I recommend waiting maybe five minutes after it beeps to actually drain the thing – sometimes there's a little bit of water left in the hopper that hasn't drained completely and will drip out on the floor if you take the tank out immediately. * The humidity level will go back up if you go too long without draining the tank and turning it back on again. However, the effects are cumulative: it takes a longer time for the humidity to bounce back the more you use it. * It works better in smaller spaces but it does work in a large, damp basement. It does fill up faster in a very damp space, obviously, but the effects on the air are noticeable pretty much immediately after the first tank fill-up. We bought a second one for the basement partly because the basement tank was filling up very fast and we figured two tanks would take twice as long to fill up. Overall, I'm very happy with them, especially for the price.

Almost 3 year later review. Solid product! 10 out of 10 would purchase again!
This is not an AI generated review. I purchased this in Sept of 2023. I literally just took it out of my daughter's car after she forgot to shut the windows during some rain. Left it in there with the door mostly shut and today it is like the Sahara in her car! This machine has never had any issues with not working as long as the user was not being an idiot. I am totally a no instruction reading goof. So it took me a minute to figure it out. I have never used the hose attachment as I have moved this gem around my houses a lot. So don't ask me about the hose option. However, there is a humidity percentage option. I crank that baby down to 40% for max suction of my air. It is currently 9000% humidity in Minnesota... There is also a fan high or low option. Mine is always cranked to excess. Additionally, there is a 24 hour max timer. So here is the trick. You can either set it to the humidity you want and it will stop when you hit it. Or you can set the 24 hour timer for continuous dehumidifier magic. The container to catch the water is not very big but it is super easy to empty. No big thing there. This machine is also super quiet. It is not super heavy and has a top carrying handle. It will give out a few large beep sound when it is full. You empty it and it will automatically start again assuming it senses more humidity that what it is set to. Or if there is still time on the timer. Would I purchase again knowing what I know now? Certainly! I am so tired of crap AI reviews and love actual human feedback. So as I was removing this little joy from my daughter's car, I figured I should submit a super seasoned review almost 3 years later. If you are looking for a reliable dehumidifier that is easily portable and does not have too many bells and whistles to go wrong, I highly reccomentld this fine piece of equipment.

It's good, with some issues after 3 years
Bought this dehumidifier 3 years ago and I decided to update my review. The compressor still works well, but the water collection is not working consistently, and I have not been able to problem-solve. Water drips onto the floor instead of going into the holding tank. This started occurring after 3 years of ownership. The other problem is that the motor has a lot of vibration. If I was determined to address this issue I would probably set the unit on a carpet square or on some foam to try to absorb the sound and rattling. It's engineered to kick on and off regularly and it can make a great deal of noise when the compressor is vibrating. Does dehumidification work? Yes. During the humid season where we normally had 80% or 90% humidity indoors, it easily brought the humidity under control to my set point of 50%. All the controls make sense once you get used to them. I like the large digital readout. It is an attractive unit compared to others. Also, the wheels make it easy to move or store, and it has a nice heavy duty cord.

Great dehumidifier!
I purchased this dehumidifier earlier this year. Before I purchase this one, I purchased another cheap one and it runs over 24 hours but the water tank is just 10% full. I returned and purchase this one. It worth to pay more. It hasn’t failed once. The size is perfect, it’s quiet and it always shuts off when the water tank is full. I set it to come on when the humidity in my home reaches 45, so I leave it plugged in. I highly recommend this product. I plan to buy another one for my daughter's room. Great product!

Great with One Small Flaw
First of all does it work? The answer is yes, but there are some things to be aware of. If you’re like me & jump right to setting things up, there 3 things u might need to know if you don’t read the instructions first: 1. The unit has to stand upright at rest for 24hrs before turning on to let the refrigerant settle after transit. (In my case it was lying on its side for most of the day after the Amazon delivery so I can understand why). 2. It starts working as soon as it’s powered on BUT it can take 3 days to make a noticeable difference to the ‘environment’ humidity. In my case it was 2. 3. The castors are a little project in themselves! …… what’s the deal with the them? If you need to fit them it’s a bit of a hassle. I’ll come back to that later. It looks good & is extremely quiet for a dehumidifier - pretty much silent. There are 3 intakes - my previous unit only had one. It has an easy to use display panel with 3 operating modes plus a timer. There’s also an air filter that can be removed for cleaning which was on my check list (not all units do). Re performance I read one review complaining that it was ‘up to’ 2000 sq ft. Not sure what that was about. Obviously the actual performance is very dependent upon your particular environment - the temperature , humidity & size of room. The manual recommends setting humidity at 50%. My research said the ideal setting for a basement to avoid problems is 30% - 50%, so I set it at 40% I run mine CONTINUOUSLY, at HIGH, with 40% HUM settings in the 1,000 sq ft finished part of my basement which has 75% humidity & it works just fine. It’s stabilized at getting down to 41-43% which is within the stated margin of +/- 3% The tank is smaller than I expected, but obviously that is a factor of the compact design. I empty it twice a day at the same time to fit in with my schedule. Now for the castors - I want to reposition it around the room now & then but I can’t do that without wheeling it. It’s too heavy for me to lift (a sign of the build quality) & it doesn’t slide on carpet with the felt floor protectors already in place . The manual is full of illustrations showing the castors installed but it fails to mention that’s something you have to do. I wasn’t sure where they should go & used the online Amazon Chat Help to discover that you have to remove the felt pads already installed to find the holes. Then I read reviews for some hints only to find people complaining about the holes being too small & needed filing or drilling, or there was excess glue from the pads that had to be cleaned out. Aside from the fit issue that some folks experienced, why wouldn’t they just leave the access points free & let the consumer decide on which option to use - pads or wheels? I haven’t moved it yet but when I do I’ll need help to install the wheels. Having that mobility is important to me. For that inconvenience & lack of thought I’m deducting 1 star. But again, it’s a well designed unit that does the job. I’ll update this review if there are any issues in the future.

Stopped working right before the 2 year anniversary of owning it.
I bought this August 2024, and it was working fine until I noticed my floor was getting wet. I cleaned it a little bit and for a day it stopped, but then it started leaking again the very next day. I thought i would be able to open it to clean is better and maybe try to unclog the drain hose, but they make it almost impossible to open and clean it. Now I have to buy another dehumidifer and it came at a time where I do not have a lot of money. I'm very upset, because when it did work, it did it's job, but now its just a giant paper weight. Now my room is very humid again.

Low air current
It works!, I don't think I would rate it for 2,000 square feet the max fan flow is so low. The low setting is even lower.. what I'm saying is it doesn't have the air current to cycle 2,000 square feet of space, this is my personal opinion.. reminds me of those flashlight that claims to have 50k lumens but it's really rated for 5k lumens.. my basement is maybe 500 square feet .. it's been a week now I run the machine 24/7 and I cannot get the humidity below 50.. It's hovering between 50 and 60... But it was affordable and it's better than nothing I guess... Basement humidity was around 70% without this machine.. so it works, just don't expect it to work the way you want it... I would be pleased if the machine was strong enough to bring my humidity below 50% to stop mold growth.

Easy setup n go
I’m a technophobic petite human. But I needed to get the humidity in the bedroom area down during the summer and got desperate enough to buy one last year. It had a pump so I thought it would leave me with no work. But having zero experience with such things, I wound up with a very loud rattling sound through the night and parked the monstrosity in the basement, where it keeps things cool and dry. This year I checked out reviews on YouTube for quiet humidifiers and came across one where the guy did a pile of research on quiet dehumidifiers and wound up with this one. It was called something else at the time but a little sleuthing unearthed this puppy. He was right. This is so much more quiet and unobtrusive than last year’s unit. I love it. It was a little heavy for me to lift out of the box but beyond that, installation was simple. I put it in my room, took off the tape, plugged it in, and that was it. It started humming. It sucked water out of the air. Periodically I dump the water out. But I don’t care. The noise factor was far more important to me than anything else. There is no point in having one of these things in your bedrooms if it’s making a racket. In fact, I love it so much that I got a second one a week later. They’re designed for small spaces. I don’t mind the additional cost. I finally just installed the second one near the bathroom in the same bedroom area and now the whole floor (200-250 sqft) is nice and dry. It’s middle of the summer. It’s usually wet as rain. But not anymore. It’s nice and dry. And QUIET. Works great. My only complaint is that it beeps a million times when you take out the bucket. I haven’t let it get to “full” for that reason because a full bucket would trip off all those chirps. Last thing I need is for it to wake everyone up in the middle of the night. I wish there were a way to choose the number of beeps or type of chirp. Maybe have a Bluetooth component with an app where it can alert you that the unit has stopped and water needs clearing. But I’m not docking off stars for that because it’s really just great for the price, performance, value, quiet, and description.

Quiet and Easy to Move, But Didn’t Last
I bought this item in 2023 and used it until 2026, so I had it for about three years. However, I only used it during the summer months, which adds up to roughly nine months of actual use. Unfortunately, it broke down after such limited use. That said, I did really like the machine while it worked. It was quiet, compact, and easy to move around. The wheels were especially convenient because I could easily roll it from one place to another. Overall, I’m disappointed that it didn’t last longer given how little it was used. I’ll be looking for another brand, and hopefully my next one will have better durability than this Luko model.

Funciona para mi !!
¡Funciona!
