The Australian Carob Co. Pure Raw Carob Kibble Nibbles, Organic

Really good! Carob is a taste you really enjoy or you don’t. If you like carob, you should enjoy the flavor If you don’t, you won’t. It’s got a flavor that is distinctly different from cacao and has almost no bitterness. The raw carob is noticeably sweeter than sugar free carob chips…the carob flavor is also more pronounced. Good for a crunchy munch and sates my sweet tooth without the sugar from sweetened chips or the fat from unsweetened ones. Texture is coarse but acceptable. Have to watch for seeds from the pods which are like pebbles and are not chewable. Gonna grind some of it in my spice grinder and test it in some sweet recipes…should be a versatile ingredient in my breakfasts. Just ordered a second bag to stash in my pantry.

These are soooooo good. I was surprised when I saw how chewy, and sweet, and smelled like chocolate, but are not at all like it. You must try to switch today to this better alternative.

I bought these kibble pod pod pieces by mistake. I had bought this brand's carob powder and really liked it. So, when reordering, I glanced at the packaging that is almost identical to the powder version and ordered it. When I got it, I was surprised, checked and read the Amazon reviews, and most were negative mainly about taste and texture. I wanted to return it but this item is not returnable. So, I decided to try it. Wow, I'm not sure why so many people were negative on it, because I found it to be sweet and good flavored. The texture is crunchy and initially hard, but it becomes soft if you chew it slowly. I rate it 4 stars because I don't think it's a good value. The powder is a better value, but the powder is a for a different use. I think I would definitely order this for a special occasion when, for instance, going backpacking.

No no no. This tastes disgusting. Like chewing a piece of wood. There's no way people are sprinkling this on yogurt. Sorry but absolutely not edible as is.

This is such a yummy snack and can mix it with nuts & seeds as a trail mix. It is naturally sweet and so may think is hard to chew, so you can always soak it to soften. I had the pleasure of reviewing all their products on my channel @TheRawsomeVeganGal, as was in touch with the owner, Michael and sent them to me. I highly recommend all their products - excellent quality, grown, harvested, processed, packaged all by the company. All organic, kosher, vegan, non-GMO, low glycemic and just DELICIOUS!!!

Like chewing sweet discarded wood pieces. I'm scared I'm gonna break a tooth! But I'm gonna push through. Because I think I can grow to like it. Just be aware, it's VERY different from an American snack.

I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, but it's not really *that* chewy. The texture is similar to eating pumpkin seeds with the shells still on: chewy and slightly woody, but not that bad. It's not as chewy as eating sunflower seeds with the shells still on, which I sometimes do. I'd never tried carob before. It's quite sweet, and the flavor reminds me most of raisins and honey. It reminds me a bit of honey graham crackers. I can see the similarity to cocoa, but it lacks most of cocoa's bitterness or fatty mouthfeel, which gives this a very different taste. I can detect a slight bitter aftertaste which tastes to me like something that would perhaps not be in the fresh product, and is probably a result of processing and time, but it's not a big deal. I like this a lot, it's fairly nutritional, and the price isn't bad. I'll probably buy this again.

If you want to discover a new, creative way to eat carob, look no further than Australian Carob Co’s Raw Carob Nibbles. Carob is NOT sweet unless sugar has been added — so don’t expect these to taste like Carob ice cream! — but they have a wonderfully rich, nutty, sweet flavor to them and they are lots of fun to chew on! Yes, they are also slightly hard — because they are from carob pods! So you simply chew them using your back teeth. They are a yummy snack and a fun, different, healthy treat. You won’t be disappointed if you have an open mind and know you are purchasing raw carob without any sugar added. Only negative is that I wish you could purchase a bulk amount at a more reasonable price! (They are slightly pricey for the amount — but worth it for the great flavor.) Can you look into a bulk offering, Australian Carob Co??!! We have tried other brands and nothing comes close to Australian Carob Co’s flavor, texture and sweetness. Delicious!
