Excellent quality metal parts, and it comes with a very handy brake that holds the rope without tying any knots. The rope is OK, but I would recommend replacing it with climbing rope that doesn't generate any torque; it will last longer, and it will be easier to use with heavier stuff like red stags. That said, very satisfied with it overall, and I've already used it twice. It is a game-changer, and I would definitely recommend it for use in a larder or the forest (it packs down really well).

A clever designed bit of kit. Don't get your ropes fangled though and it doesn't like heavy carcasses, more truthfully the hooks aren't strong enough and bend . When a hook bends straight on one side it's all a bit of afk up. Probably just use stronger hooks and you should be ok

This is definitely not stainless steel, tested with magnet and clearly only mild steel. Unfortunately, I need it tomorrow so not time to exchange. Apart from that, it's reasonable quality for the price.
