Exactly as advertised.
Perfect replacement and was easy to swap my key parts over. Works like oem just without the Jaguar stamp.

Surprisingly, good quality
The electronics of my old key fit in this one perfectly and it appears to be made very well. Just use your current key in the key slot.

Works as a replacement for a 2012 XKR.
I kept my original back piece since it has the Jaguar script and the key (obv), then swapped everything else. The fit isn't perfect but with some elbow grease it all went together and gets the job done. Entire process took about 5 minutes and completely restores the looks to brand-new.10/10. Will buy again.

It is terrific. Put my old insides in there and it looks brand new and works great
My key fobs were falling apart. They will be held together by rubber bands. There was nothing wrong with the insides popped it inside the shells works perfect

Decent key replacement
I bought this key to replace the shell for my XK key when the latch to pull out the metal key broke. This replacement is good, except for a few small details. It doesn't say Jaguar on the back, but maybe it can't due to copyright laws. (See back photo, with original key closer.) The icons are a bit small and don't have the texture or resolution of the original (left), so I used the rubber buttons from my original key, and they fit fine. The new latch has to be pressed pretty hard to remove the metal key and the key doesn't snap back in. I have to press the button again to get the key to click in. But all that said, it works and it's hard to argue with the price compared to a Jaguar original.

Metal, not plastic
I already had a backup that I used when the plastic case on my key ring started falling apart. I used the backup shell and it was solid metal - silver sides metal and key hard metal rather than soft aluminum. These two I just received I’m near certain are metal. They have slightly more heft than my plastic one and when I attempted to scratch the inside, it scratched like metal. When I did the same to the old plastic sides, I could easily tell a difference.I hope I’m not misleading anyone, but I really feel the sides are metal and I’m certain the key is also hard metal.
