What grade henna is this? or what percentage is the lawsone content certified at? -- do not tell me its 100% lawsonia, thats not what im asking

Here are a few facts about our henna:

Our Henna is 3 Times Sifted (Triple Sifted).

The lawsone content of our henna is unknown but it vary from 2.20% to 2.6%. Lawsone Content is not certified for every batch.

Our Henna is Not Organic.

Sand Percentage is 0.25% or Less.

All batches sent to USA (or any other country) are certified by the PPQ department of India.

Grading:
We are not sure what the term Grade means in Henna. In India, Henna is not determined by Grade, but it is determined by the area where it is grown and the number of times it is sifted. The highest level of sifting is 3-times (Triple Sifting). Whether it is organic. Whether the laboratory tests are conducted or not and the amount of sand percentage.

Lawsone Content:
Our Henna is cultivated in Marwar region of Rajasthan, a state in western India. It is processed in Sojat, a town in Rajasthan, whose entire economy is dependent on Henna since many centuries. Henna from Marwar is considered to be of a better quality compared to Henna grown in other parts of India. In earlier times, when people were not aware what lawsone meant, Marwar henna was most preferred.

We do not measure the lawsone content of our henna for every batch unless it is demanded by some bulk customer which is extremely rare.  The business of herbs in India, even in the year 2021, is still largely dependent on mutual trust rather than laboratory results. We have been procuring our henna only from one single supplier for almost 2 decades, even before we started selling globally. All our batches of Henna are sent to the PPQ department of India to ensure they quality with the PPQ requirement of the exporting country. We do not add any chemical to enhance the coloring effect of our henna on hair. Our henna is simply the crushed powders of Henna Leaves. No preservatives. Nothing added or removed.

Will it change your hair color when washed out. My hair is black.

It will give your hair a tint of reddish/brown. But you won’t see it on dark hair. Maybe a little in the sun.

Does this contain paraphenylenediamine (p-pd)?

No there are NO other ingredients than what is on back of bag! I’ve used this brand on several occasions and as someone who has been in ER for allergic reactions to the PPD ingredient I can tell you this is an authentic version of henna. Sorry video kind of fuzzy but the sticky part tore some of the ingredients and it says 100% NO PRESERVATIVES NO CHEMICALS JUST Lawsonia inermis leaf powder. You should have a batch date of when it was made and when it expires. Hope this helps.

Has anyone experienced dry hair after using this henna?

This happens if you don't add something to prevent the henna from sucking the moisture out of your hair as it dries. But if you add 1 T of aloe powder to every 100g of henna powder, it won't be drying at all. This will happen with all powders you keep in your hair for hours, like indigo. With indigo, you should add 1 tsp of guar gum or pre-soaked fenugreek instead because aloe is slightly acidic, which isn't good with indigo but fine with henna.
