After researching about benefits of vitamin C and because of this pandemic, I went on a quest to find the best supplement for me. I stumbled upon BoldFit’s Vitamin C Complex and I am so grateful. I recently purchased this Vitamin C supplement, expecting a safe and effective product. However, I was shocked to find that it contains Sodium Benzoate (INS 211) as a preservative. When combined with Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Sodium Benzoate can form benzene, a known carcinogen. Studies have shown that benzene exposure is linked to various health risks, including cancer.Given that this is a health supplement, it is extremely concerning that such an ingredient is included. I urge the manufacturer to reconsider this formulation and for potential buyers to be aware of this issue before purchasing.I will be discontinuing use and looking for a safer alternative. Health supplements should promote well-being, not pose unnecessary risks!
