Awesome "around the house" starter kit
For under $60, you can't beat this kit! I would consider myself to be an "around the houser" when it comes to using tools. I'm not doing any voluntary DIY projects, but hanging pictures, fixing door handles, putting together furniture (you get the picture) is normal for me. After reading through different reviews on Amazon and watching youtube videos I decided on the Black and Decker and I'm very happy with my purchase. Pro's - The battery life is great, I've never done anything where I needed to stop halfway through to charge the battery (plus you can get spares). I think another reviewer said it lasted him around 4 hours. - The torque is great. I've never had one problem drilling or removing screws. - Hard to explain, but I feel as if I have more control over the speed / power im putting out vs my old dewalt drill. - Relatively lightweight and ergonomically designed. Neutral - - The accessories are decent. The bits seem like cheapish steel to me, but the assortment is nice to have / I saw it as a bonus anyways. Cons - - There are no glaring cons, assuming the fact that you treat this like the starter kit it is. But It's not the most powerful drill, isn't the most complete kit, doesn't come with a drill case or bag, etc. The one thing I didn't realize was they didn't include any allen bits, which stinks because I specifically bought the drill to put together an IKEA desk. (which I find very odd as they included Robertson bits) As a side note, I ended up getting the baker and bolt allen bits and they are incredible quality. https://www.amazon.com/Baker-Bolt-Wrench-COMPLETE-Magnetic/dp/B07GVSV5R7/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=baker+and+bolt&qid=1576546921&sr=8-2 - I highly recommend those too. All in all, this is a great drill kit for the value. I give it a 5/5.

The right tool for the right job(s)
I can't say enough complimentary things about this drill! I purchased it when I began a long-term home renovation project two years ago and have used it extensively since then. To date, it has been used to install numerous fixtures (lights, fans, etc.), drill and assemble custom built shelves, fasten over 2,000 square feet of drywall, fasten cement board for tile floors and backer board for custom showers, and many other tasks. A few specific notes: 1. The battery life is great; however, you may notice a bit of a battery drain when performing heavy duty tasks like driving self-tapping screws into backer board (which is extremely dense, so the drill has to work very hard to complete this task). Even when performing this task, I did not find myself running out of battery power in the middle of tasks. I typically charge the battery every few days, but I found myself needing to charge the battery on a nightly or semi-nightly basis (which is still not bad at all) when taxing the drill heavily. I have never needed to purchase a second battery because one charge easily lasts through a full day of consistent use. 2. This drill measures up very well against other cordless drills of the same class. When people have helped me to hang drywall and backer board, their drills have not been able to accomplish the tasks as easily as this one. I have handed my drill to other people on numerous occasions so that they could drive screws the rest of the way after their cordless drills could not complete the task. 3. There are some natural limitations with this drill, but that is to be expected with a cordless drill. For example, I can use this drill with large hole saw bits; however, it is significantly faster to use my 6 amp corded drill for this work. Similarly, when using a spade bit to drill through multiple 2x4 headers, it is much faster to use a more powerful drill. This drill can do the job, but it will take more time since it is simply not the right tool for that particular job. Summary: If this drill is used for the right tasks and is treated well, it will perform better than many drills that occupy higher price ranges and it will also last for a very long time. I have put this drill through its paces many times over in the last two years and it has never disappointed me.

Decent entry level drill for a homeowner. Very Barebones without a light. Bits are subpar
Itโs a decent drill, I got it for a good price but at full price I wouldn't think it was worth the cost when compared to like a ryobi, craftsman, or a skil drill. At full price it's comparable in cost to those options and I would prefer one of those that have a light and a little more power, but at the discounted price it was a good deal with all the bits included. I will say, this drill would be so so much better if it just had a little light on it like most drills have. There's been so many times where I was using this and thought to myself that I really wished I could see what I'm screwing in a little better. I find the little space on the back to put a spare bit useful for when I have to swap out drill bits while working on something, but thatโs a pretty standard feature on drills as well. It does not have a ton of power for more demanding jobs like construction or home repairs and it does not clamp onto a bit as well as I would like sometimes, but I would say this is a fairly okay quality drill for a homeowner who relies on a handyman or laborer for more labor intensive jobs. If you're just mounting some shelves or a tv every once in a while, or assembling some furniture and need a decent cheap drill around the house then this is a great drill if you can get it on a good sale. I think it was half off when I got it. But that being said, please keep in mind that it doesn't have any light on it like a lot of drills come standard with. Also you might want to get a drill bit set and not rely on the drill bits that come with it. The smaller brad point bits for pre drilling holes snap really easy. They are just very brittle and I broke 2 within a week. All of the drilling bits that it comes with were not so great for any material tougher than wood but even in wood I broke a few of the smallest ones. I broke a few of the mid sized ones pretty quickly trying to put a small hole in a mild aluminum as well. They mostly work fine for wood but just be careful using it on anything else. The drill feels like itโs an okay weight and wont cause you to feel like you have to put it down all the time because itโs too heavy when you're working with it. I do wish the battery had a little higher longevity, it doesn't die crazy fast but it doesnโt last forever either which can become irratating. Overall a very bare-bones drill that comes with bits that work ok I guess but both the drill and bits get the job done and are more reliable than a no name brand. If you have the extra $10-$20 bucks to spend though, or if this drill isn't on sale I would definitely get a ryobi, skil, or craftsman drill with a light on it instead if you have any decently demanding tasks you need to use the drill for. If you just need a drill that works better than a screwdriver to throw in a drawer somewhere for occasional light homeowner use during the daytime or in a well lit room, then I would probably be okay recommending this drill.

Seemingly a good deal from Warehouse Deals
Warehouse Deals gave a big discount on this drill with some accessories. I figured that even if the drill was a disappointment, the battery, charger, drill bits, etc. were almost worth the purchase price. In my experience, Warehouse Deals tries to honestly evaluate products. They rated this item "Acceptable". I understood from the description that there was some kind of cosmetic damage on the top of the drill. I figured it had been dropped or had a factory blemish but still worked. But I never saw any significant blemish on the case of the drill. The only defect as far as I am concerning is that the drill smells bad when turned on. ==== Update 16NOV23: I have been using the drill. The stinky smell is almost gone. I am gaining confidence in it. Maybe the smell isn't serious, like maybe caused by the new brushes seating on the armature. The smell does seem to be diminishing. Sparking from the brushes is not excessive. I don't remember any other cordless tool that I've owned smelling like that. If you sort the reviews for 1-star reviews, you will see lots of complaints about these drills having a burning smell. I wouldn't have bought the drill if Warehouse Deals had said that it generates a burning smell. Maybe a customer returned it without using it because of the smell. I gave this stinky drill a 5-star rating because I am using it, and because I think that the accessories including the battery are new. If the drill fails within the return window, I will return it. But otherwise, in my view, it's a fair deal. I saved $25 over the regular price. The drill works. I use it every other day. And I ignore the smell. Even though the Product Details said that the drill was heavy-duty, I never thought it would be as good as my Ryobi or my Dewalt drill when I bought it. I just wanted another functional cordless drill so I wouldn't have to keep changing bits as often.

Fast charge, good for diy people
Works great like all my other B&D products. This replaces my 18v drills, which replacedy 14v drill. I opted for this because it's on the 20v max system so I have lots of batteries as I have other products running on that system.. I like the simplicity of one battery type for ally stuff. Works great dismantled a water bed, assembled two container garden telis things and the battery straight out of the box is still not needing a charge. When you do, the charger has you up and running in less than a hour most times, depending on which amp hr battery I use. These are durable, I've dropped these things before from 20 ft uo, bounced off concrete all that needed to happen was in weld the plastic on the grip back on the drill works fine yrs later. This drill is just an extra, sometimes one needs two drills one for the house and one for the shop.
