I bought this in Sept. 2024, and installed it in the same spot my old sink-drain sump pump was since 1988. Today, Oct 2025, it stopped pumping, got VERY hot, and made a loud continue whining noise. It often felt hot at times and seemed to be struggling, especially when the screen was blocked. I also hear it go on and off for a second now and then during the night. Now, 13 months after I installed it, the main motor is hot and not working, but making a loud whining noise. I took it off, and plugged it in at my work bench. The impeller seems to be spinning fine when I plug in that top pump cord, and it throws water fine, but when I plug in the two cords (or just the bottom pump-motor cord), nothing happens. I'm guessing the motor has failed ONE MONTH AFTEr THE 1-YEAR WARRANTY! Judging from the other reviews, I have low expectations for customer service assistance. I will report any good news. Otherwise, beware.

This pump is very nicely made. Quieter than I expected! Nice Works perfectly for my plastic garage sink. Saved a ton of money now that I don’t have to bust out the garage floor for a drain line!! Only issue was that I had to cut out a 4” hole in the shelf under the sink to make the 5” distance btwn the sink bottom and the pump intake. I bought the sink before deciding on the pump … wish I hade bought the pump first.. oh well !! Still a great product

It works well. The motor is good. Seems a bit too powerful and loud for a small bar sink. But the quarter turn valve helps lower the volume and noise. Due to the small storage tank, it cuts on and off very frequently when the water is on.

Purchase this more than a year ago and it still working very well.

UPDATE: I read a review on another site describing the same problem. That reviewer opened the impellor housing, removed debris, and fixed the pump. I opened mine and found 4 small chunks of debris. The smallest was maybe 1mm and the largest perhaps 3mm. But, this was enough to jam the impellor. After reinstalling the pump, it operated fine again. YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL A VERY FINE SCREEN IN YOUR SINK DRAINS TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM. Updating rating to 3 stars and replacing the basement carpet.----Original review: I have the same problem as an earlier reviewer from January 2023. I have my water softener system's discharge hose running into my utility sink. I just found out the pump seized up during the latest backwash cycle, allowing the sink to overflow and flooding my basement. The pump housing was very hot and the pump was humming but not moving water. Neither the GFCI it was plugged into nor the breaker at the service panel had tripped. I am outside the Amazon return window but have contacted the seller to request a refund or replacement. I will update this review if/when I hear back from the seller.

Good water pump, easy installation But don't use the check valve that comes with it. It's not good quality. I bought a check valve from Home Depot 1 1/2 x 1 1/2

Updated 1/8/2026 - Manufacture claims they don't have a warranty program for customers, the warranty is provided by the reseller. Looks Like I am not going to be able to get my money back on the first pump purchased, which leaves my review of the product based on the product performance alone. It died after 2 months of use. Lowering the star count from 3 to 1. I had a contractor build an apartment in my basement that required this pump back in May. That pump failed and leaked by November, so I had to order this pump to replace it. [6 months in use] I dont know what the manufacturer will do for me here, but I will update the review with their response.
