Bought this to mount a Hero3 Black to a ball cap with so that I can get some sound when recording at shooting matches. Works great, weighs next to nothing and is easy to use with the cut out for access to the charger and I/O ports.

This is the case you are looking for. I needed to employ an aging GoPro4 as a stage monitor for a local community theatre. So it needed to be plugged in to power and the mini HDMI all the time and mountable in an "out of the way" location. Most GoPro cases cover up the ports to offer some protection against the elements. So I had to have a solution that could use typical GoPro style mounting pieces, but give me full access to all of the ports and buttons on the camera. Protection from the elements was not important because the camera would be inside all of the time. So if you are looking to mount a GoPro 4 in a weather safe location and keep it plugged in as a security camera or a baby/pet monitor. This is an affordable and quite capable option. I would give it 5 stars, but it feels a little flimsy; however it works like a charm. I highly recommend.

Fits my Gopro Hero3 perfectly!

Works good. IS made of plastic so we'll see how that holds up to taking camera in and out. I see potential for breakage as this ages. Apparently the HERO4 has a great microphone in it which the factory case muffles. We'll see how this one does. So far so good.

Holds the camera and is easy to use. Meets my needs for video recording in the shop for social media purposes. Pleased with the purchase

Had this case for a while, but finally gave it a good test today. The quick release buckle it comes with I was unable to test as I lack anything to use it with, but the case allows me to charge my Hero 3+ Silver while on a tripod mount. The only problem I have had with the case is that it does not tighten when using the official GoPro long thumb screw nor the long thumb screw provided in the box, but a quick trip to a Ace Hardware or True Value store and getting a few M5-.80 Acorn Nuts will help with this issue. Definitely highly recommended if you need a standard case for filming!

I bought this to replace my previous case that broke. I was expecting it to be the same but this one is actually a different design. It is much superior to the last one. It will not break like the last one did due to the design differences . It moves more smoothly on the mount and the buttons are much easier accessed. Very please with this product.

Brilliant accessory would definitely recommend

To use GoPro Hero 4 Silver as a Web Cam. There is NO suction involved in the use of this product! It's a fiddle to remove and replace every time the battery needs changing.
