I took a large chance and painted a hi end leather recliner I'd found at a consignment store that frequently carried model home furniture and things from the redecorating of the professional sports players homes, (yes, we have foot ball, baseball and other teams in my city) I had purchased this previously infrequently used chair and thought it went well with the couch I had at the time. We moved, that couch is gone and the deep pine green chair was hidden away.. I saw on a decorating blog that some one had painted a leather wing back chair and I started researching what paint they used.. I found it here on Amazon, The chair is now a gorgeous deep charcoal gray , it looked expensive before in deep green and now looks even more expensive in dark charcoal .l I totally wiped my chair with alcohol to remove any lingering oils. I started on the back of the chair. I would do 3 swipes of the brush and I then used the same brush ( a 2 in 1 Brossum chalk paint brush) available on Amazon, and just tapped the surface of the paint. I just laid own to give it a more matte finish, the technique also pushed paint into litte creases, I pushed the Pain into all the crevices and seams of the piping. I could of done the chair all in one day but I painted and i a lot of looking to make sure I didn't have any streaking with the grirn showing through. If I found a thin spot I just wet the ends of the bristles and would tap over that area to cover up that spot. I'm honestly thrilled with how the chair looks, I only used half of the container to do the whole chair the paint is that pigmented. Clean up was with soap and water. I would recommend not sitting on the furniture you paint for several days to allow the paint finish to cure and then just using a very mild soap and water on a cloth for wiping it down if it gets dusty. Will attempt to post photos when I get them taken........ . .

Wouldn't call it DURABLE but it does work in 3 coats or less. Apply it heavy and it'll come out amazing... trust the process. We almost had it all covered in 2 coats (no sanding or priming on cheap fake old cabinets) but went ahead and did 3 coats for perfection.

I followed instructions to wipe down the bar area I wanted to paint. I did some light sanding. I used a roller to paint my bar and the color was so beautiful! It dried off really quickly I was able to do a second coat. I finished this project in less than two hours and it totally has transformed our space! Also, I opened windows and had a fan running but there was no smell from the paint. I have young children in our home so this was important to me.

This has been the best paint I’ve used recently for refinishing furniture. Its self-leveling feature gives me confidence that the finish will turn out smooth and flawless. While it’s labeled as not needing a top coat, I still apply one because of the heat and humidity here in Texas. I prefer to play it safe so the furniture lasts longer for my customers. I’ve purchased this paint in several colors—Simply Sage has been a top seller lately, and I also love the black and Weathervane shades. I’ll definitely keep using this paint for the foreseeable future.

This paint was expensive but I have to say that I really loved painting with it. The coverage was awesome on my weathered wooden futon frame and the color was fabulous!! Cleans up with water. Would definitely buy again.
