Bright, Reliable, and Built to Last This LEONLITE COB LED security light really impressed me with both brightness and build quality. The two adjustable heads put out a crisp daylight glow (5000K) that easily covers a wide section of my driveway and side yard. The light kicks on quickly with motion, and the sensor has been reliable so far without false triggers from small branches swaying. I especially like that it offers three operating modes—motion-activated, dusk-to-dawn, and manual switch control—so I can adapt it depending on the season or situation. The housing feels solid with its aluminum body, much sturdier than the plastic units I’ve replaced in the past. It’s IP65 rated, so I’m confident it can handle heavy rain without issue. Installation was straightforward thanks to clear wiring and mounting instructions. The heads and sensor are all adjustable, so I was able to fine-tune coverage to avoid pointing directly at the neighbor’s windows. If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that this is very bright—great for security, but you’ll want to aim it carefully if mounted near walkways or low height areas so it’s not blinding when triggered. Bottom line: A dependable, versatile, and very bright outdoor security light with quality construction. If you’re looking for long-lasting performance and reliable motion detection, this is a solid choice.

Brighter than I expected, advertised as 2500 lumens, but compared to other lights I have, I think it puts out a little more. I was also concerned, based on the shape of the LEDs, the light would be mostly focused on two smaller areas. My pessimism was squashed, it distributes the light nicely over a broad area. My light is mounted 20’ above ground level, it lights an 180 degree arc and reaches out 50-60 feet before dimming. IMO, it’s not quite bright enough to grill, fix a car, or play lawn games. But it’s awesome as a motion activated security light. The sensitivity and time adjustments are on a turn knob, allowing complete customization instead of a slide switch with only low medium and high options. This is not a flush (flat) surface mount light; you will need a recessed electric box. My install area was a flush faceboard on the side of my house. I purchased an outdoor rated 5” electrical box, fortunately found a color match, problem solved.

This has only been installed a week, so take my review with that grain of salt. I will however update if my opinion changes. Got it on sale for around 30 and I feel it was a good value for the money. It has a cool crisp light that you expect from most LED products and illuminates for what I would consider a standard security light distance. It is comparable to the security light it replaced that had 65W incandescent bulbs. The install kit was your standard fair, which means it does the job, but can sometimes frustrate with trying to get all the wire placement just right so that everything goes together as it should. I'm deducting a star because of the metal "hood" that covers each bulb was loose. One of the covers seemed to tighten if I twist it, while the other would just spin freely. If the cover that is more loose loosens any more, it will probably become an issue with holding onto water instead of shielding the lens. TL:DR - Your standard motion activated security light with LEDs instead of heavy incandescent bulbs. Minor construction flaw, would recommend.

This light is great. You can really fine tune it with the little dials. Great concept, overall. Doesn't trigger in daylight either. Sent one back that did. Definitely buy again.

Have used these for a few years now. Live in the country and these light up the property well.

really bright, easy install, so far so good

I would give it zero if I could. Spent the day wiring this up on top of my carport. Set it exactly what the directions told me to do as far as setting it up. Waited for evening to try it out. Came back with my car after dark and pulled in the carport.Nothing, no lights came on. Jumped around under the light for 5 minutes before finally turned on. Adjusted the settings try it again. Adjusted the settings tried it again. It won't pick up my car for nothing. It will only pick me up if i'm about three feet in front of it , jumping up and down. What a piece of garbage. Don't waste your money. The LUX Doesn't do anything as far as changing the light. The sensitivity doesn't do anything either.

Needs a junction box for fitting to wall via bracket. Junction box not included and could not find a suitable one anywhere!

The unit is not designed to secure against a wall without first installing a junction box of certain size to fit a supplied (mounting) cross bar. The junction box is mandatory in fitting yet is not included! Wiring is US colours.
