I purchased these to make vanilla extract. They were perfect for the job. Easy to get the pod open as they were moist and plump. The quantity was exactly 25 and they smelled AMAZING. My vanilla extract is not finished developing yet but the pods are doing great.

They were plump and very moist. As I split them the vanilla beans were oozing out the yummy goodness. They were massively cheaper than what my grocery store has. The packaging was nice and vacuumed. I could smell the vanilla through the bags. The strength of the beans seem great. Bag was easy open, just wish it was resealable. Beans were very nice in appearance.

Great beans, making some extract with them!

These are fresh, fragrant, plump beans, which I purchased to make top-quality vanilla extract. When I sliced them lengthwise, they were full of that wonderful vanilla seed pulp that you like to scrape for pastry creams, rich ice creams or other vanilla bean products. Because I'm making extract, I didn't scrap them, but split them lengthwise and dropped them directly into the vodka; within minutes the fluid was teeming with thousands of little flecks of vanilla bean, so they're quite moist and fresh. YUM! Out of 25 beans, only about 6 were the shorter size mentioned in the description. I took one star off because about four of the beans were split or smashed and had lost some of their "innards" -- also, a very few of the beans were skinny enough to make lengthwise splitting difficult. But yes, I definitely will buy from this vendor again -- very pleased!!

I cannot comment on the results of making vanilla extract, because it will be at least six months before I know. However, I can tell you that the fragrance of these beans was so delicious. You could smell it through the packaging. The packaging is really awesome: it's like they have been vacuum packed, which helps preserve the beans. I was pleased to see that the beans had plenty of moisture after I opened the package. The beans split open easily; they are not at all fragile. The fragrance was amazing after I split open the beans. I could not help but to lick my fingers after I was done splitting open the beans. SO yummy. I believe that this will be a great extract.

Use this to make vanilla extract for Christmas gifts highly recommend they are very nice beans nice and big. I would use them again.
