can I use this on a glass cooktop?

Yes, I have a ceran glass cooktop.

How should I clean the base that has hot butter cooked onto it? I don't want to scratch the metal.

I would use some Dawn and warm water as this particular soap removes oily things very well. And I would use a bristle brush that has plastic bristles as it should not scratch the surface. Good luck. Also cleaning it just after it cools and you have used it is the easiest. Glade Jul!

The base on mine does not have handles. Either way I love this product.

Can I use this on an electric stove with raised coils?

This is pretty much identical to the one my mom had when I was young, & we had an electric stove with raised coils, so this one should be fine.
