SEM 15033 Saddle Tan Color Coat - 12 oz.

I cannot say enough good things about both SEM as a company, and their products. I did a significant amount of research before reaching out to SEM to see if their product would suit my needs. I described my project and they answered my technical questions regarding prep, set, intended substrate, durability etc. Photos attached. I used this for Jeep Wrangler TJ fiberglass door project. Shout out to BULLDAWG Mfg in Hixon, TN for still supporting the TJ platform after all these years. This SEM color coat is not plasti-dip that will rub away in a week. The quality of the spray can works very well and sprays a quality pattern that is easy to guide. The coverage is solid and it goes on thick so best to use quick light coats that dry quickly. Once you read the instructions, the key is to prep properly, lightly sand primer with 400 grit and then go over it with a tac cloth. Ensure ambient temperature is adequate for proper drying as well!

Perfect match for my 1989 F250 dash color.

I've been using SEM products/paint for years now. I'm a big fan of the color coat line of paints. I used this for a 1977 GMC square body truck with buckskin interior. I found a forum post a while back saying this was a match for buckskin interior.... Well, it's not. It's much darker than I expected. However, I like it better than the factory tan. When spraying this, it looks like a semi gloss, but does dry to a matte color on plastics. Some of their paint seems to look different depending on what it's sprayed on, this stuff doesn't. It's consistent no matter the medium. Mine seems to have a weird quirk though. After shaking the can up good, it'll spray clear for the first little bit, even if you come to use it 20min later, it'll spray clear for the first spurts. Once the clear is gone, the color sprays nice an even. The can must be kept upright when spraying, even tilting it on its side will stop the paint from coming out. If you have black interior, their "Landau black" is a 100% dead match to GM black interiors! Just don't use it on metal, it tends to come out more grey on metal for some reason. But I bet I have 5 cans of the black and 2 cans of this "saddle tan". These cans are expensive, but worth it.

Good product

This paint is fantastic. Used it on the vinyl shoulder cape for a leather trench coat. Prepared with cleaning the cape. 3 light coats and adheres to the material great. Color not quite what I wanted but hard to tell with pictures on line. Highly recommend, don't know about durability yet.

Perfect Match very impressive

The color is a perfect match for my original carpet in my 2000 Wrangler. One can covers all of the carpet pieces but two cans would give more thorough coverage.
