I really like being able to get the deeper colors

I bought these to dye wood and they are great for that. The colours are very vibrant. However there is one problem..the bottle labeled Green had green dye in it but the bottle labeled black also has green dye in it. Black is the colour I wanted most. If someone could send me a bottle of black that actually had black in it I would be very happy. I will buy again.

Containers only have pigment about 20 percent in bottom. You hardly get any at all. That part is very disappointing. Have not tried this yet.

I watched a video on Youtube (Myriam's Nature) where Myriam attempted to use these basic dyes to make alcohol inks by dissolving the dyes in isopropyl alcohol. While the dyes were vibrant in alcohol, when applied to a surface and after the alcohol evaporated, the dye returned to a much duller color. However, the trick is to use Claro Extender (or another alcohol colorless blender that contains some binders) from Jacquard to disperse the dye, and the vibrancy of the dissolved dye is retained. All in all, a successful experiment and now I have enough dye make gallons of alcohol inks to play with of any color. This set contains primary colors (red, blue, yellow), secondary colors (orange, green, purple) and brown and black, very versatile for color customization.
