Do you need compressed air to completely remove product from HVAC system as with some other products?

No. Let stay inside ac box for the period of time recommended on can. Then run ac fan on high to drive out excess and dry box

Will this work with can inverted?

No. I've heard that one of the reasons that users, which had complained of having problems with application, had sprayed the can every which way other than right side up.

Is this product easy to use?

Yes, easy to use. Several videos on Youtube. But be prepared to do it a few times; once is not enough as the odor comes back quickly enough.

Does it have a smell of its own after applying it?

It does have a lemon scent when you first apply it. For some reason in my car, it didn't keep that lemon fresh smell. It had an unusual smell. Just this week, my air has started to smell moldy again. Hope this helpa.
