Perfect size and functional
I love that this item was far less expensive on Amazon than in stores (like $20 difference). Well made and doesn't really get too hot, but it's lightweight and perfect for smaller pattern pieces. I haven't let it run to test the auto shut off, but I did notice that the light will turn on if it's plugged in, though this does not mean that it is turned on. So make sure to turn it on.

Works like a charm!
I was very nervous about this iron from the reviews, but we are off grid, and I have a little sewing business, so I was anxious to find something to run off the batteries. First, I was surprised to discover it is even tinier than I had imagined! The surface is shaped like a miniature iron, maybe 2 inches long at best. The handle is very comfortable for me. It heats quickly, and has 4 levels of heat. The #4 is what I use on my cottons, it gets very hot, and with a little spritz does a great job of ironing seams open, which is basically what I needed it for. You do have to apply a fair amount of pressure as it is very lightweight, but I don't mind that. It has a little stand which works fine, though I choose to drape it over a nail above my work area to hang when it's not in use. If, however, you are looking for something small to take the place of a regular iron, this is not for you. I can't imagine trying to iron a shirt with it! All in all, I'm very happy with this product!

Perfect
I bought this because I haven't used my real iron in years (maybe decades?), and when I went to use it to iron on a patch, I found that my husband had used it for one of his projects, leaving some sort of sticky black goop all over it. I'm not cleaning that. So instead, I bought this. It's perfect for tiny projects, it is small so it stores easily, it gets plenty hot, it's light, and it has its own built-in stand. It's very easy to maneuver and control. It'd be perfect for any sort of spot-ironing you have to do, like cuffs and seams and crafts. I was surprised at the quality of it.

Not convenient at all
I wish I hadn't purchased this. I had thought it would be great for getting inside a bag for the finishing press but it is very awkward. If you have a mini hand press, use that. That is what I end up doing each time I try this one. The handle pulls the sides of the bag in and I can't see anything. It has a nice small head but the handle is way too long. It just doesn't do what I had hoped. It does get hot and it does iron but the use isn't very good. Maybe I'll give it a try for piecing seams.

Great iron for encaustic & art projects
Great little iron that I use for encaustic collage on large areas, such as applying fabric or printed papers to a panel for backgrounds. I love it's ergonomic possibilities as it has four levels of adjustment. Its also fantastic for encaustic safely with four heating levels-I use level 2 for encaustic. Also, great for safety is that it has it's own attached stand, so you just pick it up and put it back down with ease. It's a must have for encaustic collage enthusiasts.

Everything fits!
Perfect for my EPP bag. I really like that it can literally fit in my bag so it has everything I need for every stage of the process. The swivel head does take some getting used to, and I do appreciate that it can swival.

Product was defective
The iron arrived and did not work. Unfortunately I didn't immediately plug the iron in to verify it would work. I relied on Dritz brand to deliver a quality product. The iron did not get hot when I plugged it in. I followed the troubleshooting tips, but it still did not work. I contracted the seller - twice - via Amazon's site and have not received any response. My husband has an electronic background, carefully opened the iron, and discovered one of the two wires was not attached to the electric board. The machine can't work if it is not connected. The iron gets hot now, but it was a failed product. The end user should not be required to take the iron apart and attach wires the manufacturer neglected to properly connect. Dritz is a great company for pins and needles, but buy your electronic products from a more reliable company.

I chose between this and the Clover brand tiny iron; this one has a MUCH better design, you don’t risk burning yourself. The long handle makes this easy to use on tricky tiny fabric items. Proper well made smooth heat plate, has four temperature settings, which is great. Heats up enough to iron Cotten and linen etc, I use a spray bottle to help with the pressing, as there is no steam function. Otherwise it’s a real tiny iron, works just like a large one.
