Does what I need, feels secure, looks good
Writing this review with one caveat, Amazon is awash with cases and covers available to people who don't want to spend $$ on the device manufacturer's, which are always overpriced, but there are some very reputable and well-known solid "names" out there that simply choose to ignore the Android devices. This makes the availability of consistent quality and design nearly non-existent! I had purchased the Samsung Book Cover for my Galaxy Tab S7 at the same time as the tablet. Coming from the S6, I was shocked to find how much I hated the cover for the S7. It had passed 30 days when I decided I had to send it back, and you guessed it - they would not take it back. Since then, I've ordered two cases that as I began using, exposed their differences both to each other and to the Samsung case. Neither made me happy or made it easy and comfortable to use my tablet. Months later I decided to try a folio style, unfortunately the one I chose only came with a wireless keyboard. Fine I said, don't have to use it, just want the cover. It came, hated the fit, sent it back. Started going back over the cases I'd looked at many times an dismissed for looking too "hardcore tuff". Ended up back on the Spigen Rugged Armor Pro. Now this is a well made case! "Tuff" did not equal bulky and/or heavy, and I was surprised by how lightweight it felt. It was just a tad scary snapping the tablet in, almost thought I may have been sent the wrong one, finally got the last corner and everything is perfect. The thing that made me finally choose this cover was the S Pen holder! Of all the stupid things Samsung did, to not protect the S Pen in any way when a user is utilizing the tablet as a book reader was aggravating. Always knocking it off the back, or out of its center nook, I would just set the pen aside to keep it out of the way and safe. That too is a great way to lose it, but the Spigen case has this nifty split encasement as part of the case that both stores safely in the correct charging position, and allows easy access when desired. The feel is much richer than all the fake leather looking cases out there, the grip is secure, the tri-fold works nicely for holding when reading or placing at an angle for other uses. The entire thing fits in the floor style tablet stand I already have, no need to remove the case. All of the cut outs are precise, including the power/fingerprint opening. So we're off to a great start with this one! Time will tell with use, if it's easy to clean and holds up under normal use. Now for the only negatives: 1. the snug fit could be scary for some, I am not looking forward to being in the position of having to take it off my tablet, 2. there are no choices in color at all, black is it! Spigen you have a winner here, so how about blue, purple, pink, red, gray!? Overall I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend to anyone.

Get this. Better than Spigen Tough Armor!
Like many people, I originally have the Spigen Tough Armor case for Tab S7. After getting this Rugged Armor case, I definitely think this is a much better case than the tough armor. Tough armor case (not this case, this case is Rugged Armor) is a good case, extremely sturdy. But there are a few issues: 1. It's thick and heavy 2. It lacks a cover to protect the screen 3. It is very stiff and difficult to put on or remove. The extra protection of tough armor is good but what's the point to have extra protection if it doesn't cover the screen? If I were to take my tablet somewhere, I need to cover the screen somehow before putting it in my bag so tough armor case would not work. The Rugged Armor case (this case) provides the best balance between protection and practicality. It is much lighter. Material is not as thick and hard compared to tough armor, but it has enlarged bumpers around the 4 corners and has a cover to protect screen. They use softer rubber instead hard plastic on this case. The case won't protect the tablet if it's dropped but it provides sufficient protection against small impacts and scratches (on the screen). If you only drop the tablet on its back , tough armor for sure provides better protection. But rugged armor (this case ) gives an all around coverage. The materials both front and back feels soft to touch. There is an indentation for the fingerprint sensor on Tab s7 so there is no more guess work when unlocking. Putting on or removing is much easier than tough armor case. The s pen holder is secure yet convenient. There is 1 or 2 mm clearance so , resting the case on a surface would not scratch the s-pen. The open to wake cover works very well. The design on the back looks cool and futuristic. I have also tried Samsung Book cover case. That is also a good case but the placement of the s pen makes that case wider so it feels more bulky and doesn't protect the sides like the rugged armor does. Price is also very reasonable and and slightly cheaper than tough armor case. Attached is a picture of the front which is not shown clearly on official photos. Cover's surface is textured and has a silver spigen logo. It looks more refined than similar cases made by moko etc. I think this is the best case you can get for Tab S7.

Very Nice Case!
Love the appearance and provides great protection for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. I especially like the tablet pen holder. I gives me a lot of confidence that the pen will still be there after a lot of use and without the need to remove the pen and place it in a different pen holder as I've seen in other tablet cases. Not that it's bad, but I prefer the convenience of keeping the pen where it belongs. I love the texture and the feel of the exterior (almost rubbery) and it provides great protection, especially the corners. I am using a screen protector (highly recommended) and it does not affect the fit of this case. OK, so here are some things I wish were different (hence the four stars). (1) the flap cover does not magnetically close. The flap opens when you shake it, but only if you really make an effort. And honestly, how often will you do that? (2) when the flap cover is opened and folded to the back, it does not magnetically hold on to the back of the case. You will have to physically hold it in place. (3) When folded to the back of the case, the flap has some give and wiggles. Are any of these issues a deal breaker for me? Nope. Overall, this is a very good case. It's sturdy and feels great in my hands. The case does not add too much bulk and it protects my tablet. I'm glad I got it.

Perfect case for school and work!
I researched the best, most durable cases for this tablet, otterbox and spigen were the top 2, so I ordered both to test them. The otter box case was difficult to detach from the cover and seemed less user friendly to me but I also feel like I could throw it across a room and it would be fine. It also comes with a built in screen protector. If you are working outside or in harsher environments, then this would probably be the case for you. The spigen case is easy to open and close with the portfolio style and has an auto screen on/off when you open/close it. And it has a nice secure spot for the pen in the back. It still has raised edges and is drop proof tested. Ive dropped it 2x so far and have seen no damage. For me, this was the right case for school and work purposes!

2 Years After
Bought this case in 2023, these are photos after 2 years of daily use. Amazing case, protects the screen and holds the pen very securely even when dropped. Case shows normal signs of wear and the plastic does deform after a while but its mostly cosmetic. Im planning on buying this again to replace my worn out one

Perfect fit
Great fit. Does not add too much bulk to the tablet but feels very sturdy. I have used other Spigen phone cases in the past and they are consistently great for electronics protection. The case has good grip and a slot for the S pen that holds it in very well. I have had for a month now and have not dropped my tablet so I'm not sure exactly how it will hold up when that happens but I am confident it will work well. Fits well with a screen protector on the tablet as well. I added my own sticker to the back and that has not come off, if that matters to you. Screen cover on the case has a nice velvety feeling on the inside. Buttons are easy to get to and ports as well. No noticeable sound distortion with the cover on. Material does not feel cheap. Nice simple and sleek design.

Awesome case! Research screen protector.
Great case! I went through two other manufacturers and there was always something lacking. Either it didn't fit too well (I.e. Non folder side would pop off when holding in portrait position) the volume rocker was way too stiff/not really pronounced (hard to discern without looking sometimes) and/or the finger print sensor was hard to access. The volume rocker is well done on this. It eliminates the problems I had with the other manufacturers . Fit is perfect. However a word of caution, this will not work for certain screen protectors and they must be pretty centered or you might run into issues with fit. So do you your research. I got lucky and had the right kind of screen protector and it was pretty centered. It was however a pretty close fit. The one I got was from Benzcap here on Amazon (tempered glass 2 pack) All in all its beautiful and sturdy. I highly recommend this.
