Q: are batteries included?

Yes. And they are not meant to be replaceable, because being replaceable usually means there would be a chance of it falling out of the toy and the cat could eat it. But for me the battery lasted pretty long anyway, you’ll notice when the battery is wearing out when the squeak sound becomes weird. The plastic tab is meant to isolate the battery from draining before a mouse is in use, so only remove right before giving it to the cat.

Q: Does this toy come WITHOUT catnip???

The toy I ordered does have catnip.

Q: Can the squeaker be replaced?

It is not made to be replaced. There is no compartment that holds the squeaker. If you could even find a squeaking mechanism you would have to open the toy and insert it yourself. Way too much trouble for a cheap toy.
