I have read nearly every book on the PCT and this is one of my favorites. It is stunningly put together, well written, and visually fascinating. Truly a work of art. You can literally open to any page and start reading. It's like the perfect coffee-table book in that regard. The author kept all of the stats for his hike and it is absolutely remarkable the amount of information shared. The level of detail in this book is incredible. It's also a history lesson of the trail and the lands one travels across on their hike. I appreciate the authors storytelling, humor, wit, openness, and vulnerability. I know I'll be reading it again! Review: No era lo que yo esperaba; hay muchos detalles técnicos (tipos de casas, cuántos osos vio, cuántas fotos tomó por milla, etc) demasiado uso de ilustraciones por computadora. Me hubiera gustado un libro más enfocado a la experiencia y con fotos reales del PCT y menos uso de tanto gráfico por computadora. No recomiendo el libro.

I LOVED this book! A must have for anybody who has hiked, or wants to hike the PCT. Beyond that, any lover of long-distance hiking will enjoy this book. What a lovely book about the PCT. I really enjoyed the statistics and small anecdotes. The author put great effort into making this book pleasing to the eye and fun to read.
