Works well to get back focus in on the telescope. Sturdy metal.

I got this to attach a 35mm camera to a telescope. Didn't work. Not the fault of the manufacturer.

I have a celestron evolution 8". I bought this to do astrophotography with my eyepieces and filters. I could find any way to attach this to my telescope. I can attach it to my camera. If I put an eyepiece in it, the end of the eyepiece does not protrude out far enough to screw into the score's 1 1/2" adapter. So this is unfortunately useless to me which is very disappointing. I am going to have to return it.

The eyepiece holder boasts a "brass compression insh to prevent the marring of your telescope accessories". However, when tightened it misaligns the eyepiece (this is visibly noticeable if you inspect how flush the eyepiece base is after tightening with the eyepiece base flat on a table - it will be misaligned after you tighten the screw). The screw pushes the side nearest the screw slightly upward, tilting the eye-piece. As the whole purpose of this is for astrophotography, it renders the piece practically useless. Yes you can obtain nominal quality photos using this - but I can't recommend it.
