What is the difference between Walabot and walabot plus?

The Walabot DIY is able to scan on drywall and solid concrete while the Walabot DIY Plus can also scan on those surfaces it has been optimized to also accurately scan on lath and plaster. Additionally, the Walabot DIY Plus has embedded Teflon strips for a smoother scanning experience.

Is it true that the app forces you to enter your google account and PW, to share your data with foreign companies, or else you cant use it?

The Android phone will require you to log in so you can get the app from the Play store. The Walabot app does want you to login either by allowing your Google account to connect or you can create a Walabot account. I chose the Walabot account route. As far as to where the data goes I do not know. I do know it's a great product and app and works great. I have the Walabot DIY (not plus) and it is an invaluable tool and works better than much more expensive stud finders.

Does it work through tile?

The Walabot DIY Plus is not able to detect accurately through tile at this time. It is an update we are working on for the future.

When will the iphone version be available?

There is a wifi version available now that is compatible with iPhone and Android, but it's considerably more expensive.
