Fantastic quality, made with care and packaged with care. Very excited to fill it out, good as a sketch book or for journaling. Definitely worth the money, a great value and no weird smells. The size is just right and the dragons on the front look great.

Yeah, this things awesome. If you need a journal I definitely recommend this one. I’m not an expert on leather so I can’t tell if it’s organic or synthetic but the build quality is really good. The paper is also another plus. It’s not fragile like notebook sheet paper but rather sturdy and durable. The sheets are separated into 5 sections so this makes it easy to assign different purposes. They are not refillable but I don’t mind because that just means there’s less chance for them to randomly come out. The locking mechanism is a bit looser than I would like which means it sporadically comes undone but not too big of a deal. The size is really convenient. I got the smaller one and it’s very easy to carry or throw into any bag unlike larger notebooks. The smell is very nice. I would describe it analogous to the smell when stepping into an antiquated cabin. Very rustic. No trace of industrial chemicals in the odor profile. The price is unbeatable. You won’t find something this high quality at this price point. One thing I would have liked is for the front and back to have a hard cover. Instead, it’s just a continuous sheet of leather that can bend and so taking notes on the edge pages when standing is not practical. I guess this makes it…softer though? If the seller comes out with a hard cover version I will definitely be picking it up. I’ve always liked black accessories but I sprung for the brown on this one and don’t regret it one bit. It’s a beautiful, sophisticated color that gives off the vibe of elegance and makes you look like you know what you’re doing. The dragon design is cool too. Gotten multiple compliments already when pulling it out. In an age where everything is digital it’s actually nice to have an analog, physical place to jot down notes. 5/5

This book came exactly as advertised with a more white to cream colored paper. The paper is thick enough to use a bit of watercolor and ink. The lock works great. The cover is beautiful and it smells like leather. Out of all the books I ordered like this on Amazon, this one is the highest quality. I hope to get the larger size also.

First and foremost, I try to support small businesses. Please, though, do not give me a letter with the product asking for only positive reviews and to give only negative reviews via e-mail to them first. It felt a little bit like rigging the system to be honest. I really like the look, feel, weight of this journal. the paper is great for writing on. The letter embossing of the dragons is awesome. I use this journal almost every day and it has held up very well for the most part over the last two months. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves to journal. That being said, a few issues are present. The clasp is useless. It looks cool but doesn't stay locked. I didn't figure this out until week two. Too late to return it then. Also, when lying the journal flat, the clasp causes the leather flap to stand up and makes it hard to write at times being halfway through the journal already. I have to use my phone to hold down the flap of leather so I can write. Also, it doesn't always lie flat. For the first little while, I had to place a book behind the journal when lying opened so I could write on both sides of the paper. But this is an issue common to most journals I think. Finally, it could really use a book mark ribbon or something. I'm constantly trying to find where I left off. But that's more of a suggestion than anything else. All in all, a really well made product from a small business. If you like journaling and dragons and supporting small businesses then this journal is for you. 4 stars because they had asked for a positive review and not a negative one.

Nice journal and a good present for the Dungeons and Dragons fan in your life.

Along with this journal was a note that gave me the impression that the craftsman is passionate about their craft, prompting this review.(I got the larger version in brown.) The spine, and both back and front cover are made of a single piece of real leather. The leather is rough on the inside, but is well soft enough to not damage the paper. The outside of the cover is nice and rigid, and the embossing was well done and stands tall and proud. The designs are well done, with plenty of detail, but no details that are small enough to get lost. The latch mechanism is riveted in well, and does not look as though the riveting has damaged the leather at all. The top latch is affixed to a small tab of leather so that the paper inside isn't damaged by the tension of the cover. Beautiful patina brass colored metal latch that fits the reddish-brown color of the leather's stain well. The leather also looks to have a slight patina, making it almost resemble a wood grain. The paper is thick and plenty bleed-resisting, and is bound to the spine in 5 separate "booklets". This way if the binding begins to wear, your more likely to loose 1/5 of the paper instead of all of it. The stitching on the spine looks neat and well thought out. This will make an absolutely amazing Dungeons and Dragons DM journal for quite some time. TLDR; Great care and craftsmanship in making this journal. Would buy again. 10/10

Het hele plaatje klopt gewoon. Het wordt geleverd in een mooi zakje, waar je hem ook in kan opbergen. Het is handgemaakt en dat is te zien....niet negatief nee juist positief...het leeft, er zit detail in...met een woord prachtig. Het papier wat is gebruikt is van een mooie dikte en kwaliteit. Of je hem gaat gebruiken voor tekeningen maken, als dagboek gebruikt of..in dit geval...voor een LARP karakter...alles is mogelijk. Ook het slotje waarmee het leren boekje mee dicht gemaakt kan worden is mooi. Het heeft een ook een mooie afmeting..ongeveer A5 misschien iets groter, dus makkelijk mee te nemen Ik raad het iedereen aan.

My 8 yr old daughter asked for a Dragon diary as one of her Christmas gifts. I honestly had no idea where to look or find one so locally so I thought let’s see what amazon has. This was one of the first hits in my search. I looked at others but this one stood out to me. It was what I envisioned my daughter asking for. It’s bound nicely using traditional methods tied together with leather strands with a nice detail all leather cover. It’s not chip thin paper either it’s nice letter stock card almost. The metal latch is a nice touch. I am very impressed with it and I know my daughter will love it.

Werkelijk prachtig detail van de draken en het artwork rondom en op de achterkant. Papier is van mooie dikke kwaliteit. Boek was goed verpakt, zelfs met een bedank briefje erbij. Echt kwaliteit, zowel het leer als de bewerking ervan. Zelfs de achterkant was bedrukt!
