Really enjoy and actually translates to course
This is an easy read with relatable material to take onto the golf course. the Anti Yips book. I've really enjoyed and have actually reread a few passages. it is not one big book but several small stories and lessons about approaching golf. If you're looking for swing tips this isn't the book for you, but if you over think shots and generally get into you're own head, I high recommend this book.

Helped keep emotions in check
I have a good swing, there is nothing to change except my attitude. I started playing better golf and having more fun after reading 1/3 of the book. My sister-in law gave me the book after playing golf with her just one time. Obviously she saw my problems immediately.

Good Reminders
Pretty good, easy to read book reminding golfers how to keep there head in the game. This is a good reference to go back to periodically when you lose focus on your game.

Very helpful
I am not done with this book yet. However, I am going to write the review early. While I noticed some people who reviewed this book mentioned that the info is "obvious", the fact is that most truths are obvious once learned. Some of the biggest epiphanies seem extremely clear and obvious once they are had. There is no reason to mention the obviousness, when the value is not in the obscurity, or lack thereof, of the information. I played a round yesterday after reading about a third of this book, and kept a few of the ideas in mind, and I am extremely happy with the results. I had more fun, and was more relaxed. I am still new to the game, but I am making steady progress, and I am really glad I found this book so early in my career. There is no reason for me to sloppily tell you the short version of the ideas here. I am telling you right now that no matter where you are in your game, you will be happy you got this book. It is not magic, it does not tell you how to astrally project the ball into the hole, it is just there to tell you some fundamental ideas that will help your mental game. BUY THIS NOW. You will not regret it for a minute. I can't think of any resource that could have helped my game so dramatically for so cheap.

The Right Book at the Right Time
I ordered this book (along with 2 other golf books) on a Thursday. That Friday, I played a difficult local muni with a score of 99 (I'm a 10 handicap). I wasn't completely irate, but I wasn't happy. Saturday, I played another challenging course with my buddy. On the 9th tee, I threw my hybrid into the woods after hitting 3 consecutive tee shots into the canyon and declared that I'm done with golf for the summer. My friend bought me a 6-pack and convinced me to play it out, but I was mentally done with golf (and figured that my buddy was done playing golf with me!). When I got home, my books had arrived. My initial thought was to return them, but I went ahead and opened the box and started reading Zen Golf (and completed it in 2 days). There is a ton of content in this book that I'm not going to cover, but here are the most important nuggets that I got out of it: - Take one shot at a time (seriously, flat forget how good or bad you have played so far, look forward to the next challenge, and just hit your best shot!) - DO NOT take your mechanics out on the golf course with you...just trust your swing and fix problems on the range - Positive self-talk always!!! - Keep a tally of the negative things you did on the golf course. Decide before your round what you are trying to improve in your mental game. When you mess up, tick-mark it and forget it! - The slow-motion walk to the ball in my pre-shot routine helped me tremendously I have played three rounds of golf since then and am back into the mid-80's. That's not great, but I enjoyed those rounds of golf more than I remember enjoying golf in a very long time. There are several books that will help you more with swing mechanics, but I haven't ever read a book (or taken lessons) that has helped my game immediately more than this one. Give it a read!!!

Simple but solid reminders
As the author requests at the beginning of the book, this book will only help those that approach its message and tips with an open mind. Naturally skeptical, it took a few chapters before I was able to stop silently criticizing the flowery "zen" language and new-age metaphors and actually hear the message being delivered. Once I did, however, it was well worth it. As I stated in the review title, the author offers simple but solid tips and concepts to improve the mental aspects of your golf game. At first blush a lot of it appears to be common sense (stay in the present, choose positive self talk over negative, be curious), but it's funny how often we humans (and golfers) tend to ignore this advice and continue committing the same mistakes time and time again. And, at the very least, the author is 100% correct: if you spend even a fraction of time replacing bad habits with good ones, and replace frustration with intrigue, you will undoubtedly enjoy your rounds (and life) a lot more. I know I sure do.

Hier zwei Zitate um ein besseres Verständnis zu bekommen: - "Prepare for your shot as best as you can. Have as vivid an image as you can and settle yourself as much as you can. Then commit to it with body, mind and heart, Like the pig in a bacon and breakfast." - "Take your best shot and be ready to deal with the results. Pre-acceptance means taking the attitude that you can handle whatever results you encounter. This reduces fear of unwanted outcomes, meaning less interference with making a good swing. And that means a higher percentage of good results. If you accept the possibility of having to scramble, you’ll find yourself scrambling a whole lot less." Schönes Spiel!

This book has changed my way of playing golf, in a positive way
This book made me realize the importance of the mental aspect of golf. I am reading it for the second time, right after finishing a first read. I am a lot more relaxed on the golf course now, and more positive. As a result, my swing is better, more regular, more relaxed. A MUST read.

The Missing Ingedient.
For years I’ve paid little attention to the concepts described in this book. The reason was that they weren’t explained by other people in a way that let me apply them. Finding this book has changed all that. The concepts are clearly explained and easy to follow. I’m applying them on every shot. I’m not standing over the ball hoping to execute. I’m planning to execute. Reasonably competent golf is now within reach.
