The paint is high quality and is water based, so it is easy clean out your paint brush with just water. It goes on very smooth and is easy to apply.

Great paint for models of all kind. It will stick to primer very well and has very good scratch resistancy. Usually ready to be used for airbrushing straight out of the jar. Depending on detail - a bit of thinning with water might be necessary. Using a regular brush one needs to be careful not to lay it on too thick as it build quickly. As always better a few thin coats than one thick one. XF is the flat version - the paint is very flat which is great for clothing, landscape etc - it can easily be altered to high gloss semi gloss etc by applying the appropriate top coat. The X series is the gloss version and I found it to be ok for a more semi gloss look if one paints cars and wants a real "show-room finish" it's better to use an actual high gloss top coat. All in all excellent paint.

In my opinion no one makes better acrylic model paint than Tamiya. This is no exception. Good quality, nice thickness and the color is true to the label and description. Recommended.
