Pleasantly Surprised!
I have been using Watco and Minwax satin lacquer for years with mostly good results. I recently decided to try the Mohawk lacquer to see if there was anything better. After using it on my last two projects, I have to say I had better results than with either Watco or Minwax. I'll follow-up if I encounter any change, but for now, the Mohawk lacquer is the best I've used yet.

Great Brand, great product
Mohawk / Behlen Products - especially their lacquers are professional grade, consistent quality you can trust and professional customer service if you need to talk to them for some help or guidance - they stand behind their products like no other company - I only wish that their product labels would contain more instructive information - rather than 75% warnings and of course - print so small because it has to be in several languages - no room for better use instructions - that's why you must have excellent customer service support as they do..

Mohawk finishes "work" as hard as you do !
Love Mohawk products! Anyone who is knowledgeable about wood/furniture refinishing knows that working with lacquer can be tedious. I'm no pro, but I'm no beginner either and I usually expect a little trouble when I spray it. This is the first time that I have used this product. Had to order it here on the web, because none of the box stores in my area carry Mohawk. That is very odd to me due to the fact that their company is fairly close geographically to where I live. (Hickory, N.C.) I will see what I can do about getting this product available locally, but I won't hold my breath. If you have a project that calls for a satiny-smooth finish, I think you will find this product will work well for you. Completely satisfied!

Changed mind
I have decided it does provide a nice finish but I really wish the spray tip was better...For the price it should DEFINATELY be a better tip. Changed to 4 stars from 2.

Disappointed this time but could be my fault
I use Mohawk supplies for my furniture restoration/refinishing. The last cans of lacquer spray I got dripped while using it. I didn't have a brush at hand (my fault) so by the time I was able to wipe them down (30 seconds or so) they solidified (it's quick-drying yay!). It wouldn't lightly sand out either, so I had to hand sand the veneer down again all the way through two coats of oils & shellac. I began all over again. Perhaps someone from the company can tell me what I did wrong or was it the spray. Yes, I tested the can before applying & it sprayed perfectly. It just began dripping mid-work across a MCM cabinet. So sad.

Speechless
Application: flawless I mean I don't know what else to say about this. I have tried many brands easily found on store shelves and was weary at first to even try another bottle of spray finish. However I absolutely loved this. It's feel was more natural, like verethan's paint on style, and the semi-gloss is more appropriately semi-gloss than I have ever seen. Good, transparent sheen. Sands easy if you make a mistake, but the can i had, had no trouble retaining a nice even mist. This is above and beyond expectations, especially in terms of spray polys or laquers

Professional paint for a professonal finish.
Mohawk products are my go-to finishes for most of my woodworking projects. Good quality lacquer is difficult to find where I live, so mail-order availability is vital.
