Is this right handed?

RIV20LWLCLH meant RIV=Rival, 20 = reel size, LW = Lever Winch, LC = line Counter, LH = Left Hand. hope it help even too late.

Mine just came in the mail today. The pic shows a depth counter but mine didn't. How can I return it ?

Description says nothing about a line counter. Does mention some sort of rings to judge how much line is left on the reel.

Is this rated for salt?

Yes all penn reels are rated for both salt and fresh water

What is the best line

It's a matter of personal preference and what you are fishing for!! I use Trilene Big Game in 30 lb test Mono as a base line with approximately 7 ft floracarbon leader, it works got me!!!
