Hape Explorers Bug Jar

Put this on the list for a stocking stuffer for your young kiddo next year! How fun to be able to hold a bug or small toad in your hand, and the wildlife gets to escape from your kids hand injury free too! Top of the jar is a magnifying glass. This has been a great outdoors tool for my kids!

Kids love this! I love this! Such a simple, not overly complicated bug catcher cup. Kids can see the bug so well and doesn’t require help.

This is great for collecting insects or very small animals for viewing. You can even use just the lid to place it on top of something (rocks, flowers, fungi, etc.) to look through the magnifier. It's NOT meant to be a home for a pet. Check the size measurements before you purchase. For my needs, it works great and is very sturdy, not heavy, but a tiny bit too bulky for bringing on hikes. I love the grid on the bottom. The only complaint I have is that the lid is not easy to put on, but once you figure out how to attach it, it's simple. Compared to the many other models I've seen and the other one I own, I like this one the best.

Easy to use for toddlers and kids

This is a great idea and my granddaughter was interested, but it is very difficult to get the top on and off. They need to work on the design.

Definitely not worth the money. Item is basic and small. Could have bought a whole kit for the same price.

This jar is impossible to close. I unpackaged the jar, opened it, and now it’s useless. There are three groves that maybe need to be lined up, I’ve had several adults try to figure it out.

These little bug pots with 5× magnification lenses were a winner with my grandsons aged 2 and 4. They could really see the details of spiders and wood lice. We also found a baby slow worm and a baby grass snake which were released straight away where we found them. I an sure that when the summer arrives there will be lots more of mini beasts to find and study. The pots are hard to open at times. There is a knack to closing them. You need to gently push the lid down anad twist the pot at the same time.

super teil! tut was es soll und die lupe funktioniert prima. die schlaufe ist sehr praktisch. der drehverschluss nur etwas schwergängig für kinder, aber dafür sehr sicher 😎
