Perfect Travel Kayak: Inflates in Minutes and Packs Away Easily
I bought this inflatable tandem kayak because we were leaving on a long road trip, and I simply didn’t have room inside my car or on the roof rack since we were already packed with luggage. I needed something that would collapse down small, and this ended up being the perfect solution. Before using it, I was honestly a little worried about how long it would take to inflate such a large kayak. I had even planned to buy an adapter so I could use my electric air compressor with a portable camping battery. It turned out I didn’t need any of that. Since this kayak inflates to a much lower PSI than a paddleboard, the included manual pump inflated the entire kayak in about five minutes. I was genuinely surprised by how fast it was. The inflation process is also very intuitive because each air chamber is clearly numbered in the order you’re supposed to inflate them. We used it on a calm lake with only a light breeze during a family reunion, and it ended up being one of the most popular things we brought. It was in constant use throughout the day, and everyone had a great time with it. While it doesn’t glide quite like a hard-shell kayak, it paddles mostly straight and moves surprisingly well on calm water. If there is a noticeable weight difference between the two paddlers, it helps to seat the heavier person in the position that keeps the kayak balanced. The kayak weighs only about 35 pounds, so it was easy for one person to carry from the car to the water using the included carrier bag. The seats are air-filled, comfortable, and stay securely in place. Even after spending a long time on the water, we found them comfortable to sit on. They adjust slightly, and if you don’t need a tandem kayak, you can remove one seat and use it as a solo kayak. There was plenty of room for two people along with our towels, life jackets, and a few other small items. The included storage bag made transporting and packing everything away simple, and I appreciated that it also comes with two paddles, so everything you need is included. One thing to be aware of is that the seats are fairly close together, which is understandable for a kayak of this size. When paddling with a younger child who was still learning, we occasionally bumped paddles. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s something to keep in mind. We never had any issues with air leaks or the kayak losing pressure throughout the day. The material feels durable, although I would still avoid dragging it across sharp rocks or rough surfaces like you would with any inflatable. At the end of the day, it deflated easily, rolled up without much effort, and fit nicely back into the carrying bag. If you’re a serious kayaker who spends long days on the water and wants maximum speed and performance, you’ll probably still prefer a hard-shell kayak. But for beginners, casual paddlers, families, or anyone who needs a kayak that packs into a vehicle without taking up much space, I think this is an excellent choice. It completely solved our packing problem, provided hours of fun, and I would absolutely buy it again.

Inflatable kayak
I was very hesitant on buying this but i made the decision too because my coworker convinced me so. I will begin to say I am very impressed. Here are some factors rating this high. 1. Blowing this up was very fast. After reading the reviews on time to put the kayak together took no more than 10 minutes. Deflating was very easy as well. I do not recommend using an electric pump. Stick to the hand pump because it is so much faster. 2. Transporting these inflatable kayaks was very easy. My husband and I do not have racks for my car so these became very convenient. However I do wish it came withe a sturdy bag to store. The material of the bag it comes in is not so great. 3. I live in TN and took my kayak on a 6 mile float down the Hiwassee River. I ran into rocks and brushes along the river and shockingly this kayak was very sturdy. My husband tipped over in his kayak and was still in great condition. So this was a huge plus for me!!!! 4. I bought two-2 person kayaks. I am 220lbs 5’’3 and I figure buying the 2 person kayak would be best. I was able to fit my cooler, dry bag and vest in the kayak. This kayak held my weight pretty well and I was impressed with it as well. The 2 person kayak has a max of 400lbs. For the price I paid was not bad at all. You do get what you paid for…the oars was not so sturdy and you could tell it was cheap like quality. I rated this 5 stars simply because the kayaks can withstand the rocks and brushes. As well. As being able to transport these. We will definitely keep using them to go down the river.

It actually surprised me .... consider it 4.5 Stars
This inflatable kayak actually surpassed my expectations. I definitely like it, a lot ... just not sure that I "love it" (5 stars). Truthfully, we've only used it once but we spent the better part of a day in it. The trip down the Blackwater River is documented on our YouTube channel as .... [...] and there is another video of our campsite with footage of me blowing up the kayak .... [...] The basic material is more durable than I imagined and its overall size is well suited for two normal adults. It easily blows up with an aftermarket 12vdc air pump (must use care however not to exceed the max pressure). Underway, it was not the least bit tippy and very stable in all calm water situations. I shot video and took photos all day without any difficulty. There is a small scag or fin that is meant to be inserted in a slot at the rear bottom. Since the water was quite low where we put in, I decided to leave this fin off, thinking it would strike the bottom. Bear in mind that we are total novices and this was our first experience ever, in any kind of a kayak and I thought this to be the reason we had so much difficulty making the kayak go where we wanted it to go. Finally, I decided to insert the fin and try it. Night and day difference ... suddenly the kayak became totally manageable and with no effort we were cruising along as if we knew what we were doing. I might add that my wife and I slightly exceeded the 250 lb load rating and the kayak didn't seem to mind at all. The paddles go together easily and have comfortable grips. The PR material says that they are longer than competitors paddles of comparable sized kayaks but found us wishing that they might have been just a bit longer. We were actually able to get it folded back up in the nice nylon storage bag the way it was (something I'm not often capable of) and it stores easily behind the seat in our truck. I'm not sure what the weight is since there are no specifications of any kind in the operator's guide but I'm guessing about 40 lbs. The only area I would deem to be deficient would be for storage. Not a lot there, but then again, maybe I have unrealistic expectations seeing as how little experience I have. All in all, it was a delightful day on the river and well worth the relatively small amount of money we paid compared to other units we found in our research. We weren't sure if we would like kayaking or not and didn't want to spend a lot of money only to find out it wasn't for us. Totally great investment. We're leaving for the Keys in two days and plan on using it quite a bit next week again.

What a great surprise!!
Love this kayak. So easy to set up that my ten and eleven year old grandkids did it all by themselves in about thirty minutes. It’s well made with multiple bladders. The pump was much more effective than I had imagined. It’s remarkably solid and stable for an inflatable. The two paddles that were included with the kayak are well designed and simple to put together. It even comes with a storage bag! The children love it and have so much fun on the lake with it. Great value for the price and that’s a statement that’s not usually said about many products these days!

Awsome kayak for the price
Great product. I purchased toward the end of summer for $94. So the the price does fluctuate with the season. Took me about 20min in set up the 1st time. About 15min for subsequent attempts. I've taken it out 3-4 times in the last 2 months. Collapses down small enough to fit in the trunk of a small car. The paddles work, but I felt were on the small side for me. This kayak is somewhat wide also. I ended up getting a 96inch paddle but i'm 5'10''. My 5 yr old daughter does ok with it. When I stretch out my legs, I have to tuck my feet to the sides of the front seat. The skin of the boat is reasonably strong. You'd have to scrape against some jagged metal or be hit head on by a hard pointy branch for this to puncture. For the boating itself, this craft is ok. It doesn't seem as smooth or can go as fast as a hard plastic boat. But that's fine considering it's $100-200 less. I even took it through some mild rapids (still choppy enough to splash me good) and it held up fine. The fin/skeg works fine and is easy to install but requires decent hand strength to remove (a good thing). It basically clicks in place and you have to push a tab down to remove it. I drilled a hole and put a fishing line through it in case the skeg falls off as suggested by others, but this is unnecessary. I even started heading away from shore once and the skeg, and only the skeg, hit an underwater boulder. I was going about 3mph when it hit and came to a dead stop, all 200+ lbs of the boat and people. The skeg edge was a little scratched but in place at the end. Maybe Intex updated the skeg after it 1st came out. I'm going to remove the fishing line before the next trip because it is unnecessary and gets seaweed, etc caught in it creating more drag. If you were to give me the choice (price not an issue) b/w a hard plastic boat and this, I'd pick the hard boat. That said, I'm very happy with this very inexpensive and easy to transport kayak.

Great customer service!
I received my kayak about a month ago. After several uses, it developed a slow leak in one of the valves. I contacted the company and they immediately sent a replacement, I received it the same day I sent mine off. I was so happy to not be without it for a day! I love this Kayak!! It inflates quickly, and the best part is it’s so easy to transport!! I don’t have to have help to load it on my car, it fits nicely in the back. I love the ability to head out to the lake right after work and not have to stop at home and spend time loading a kayak. Best purchase I have made it along time!! And great customer service 👍🏼

Fantastic
Fantastic! I was a little hesitant based on the price, and I can’t be happier! Super easy to carry around. A couple of tips, the paddles are a bit too short for the width of the boat, so you may want to get longer paddles. The manual pumps are awesome and fast, but if you want to save time, invest in an electric pump. If you are using a double kayak alone, sit on the back seat and put a heavy bag or something in the front of the boat specially if it is windy. We had a lot of fun with it at the lake!

Unlucky experience
Bought it for lake/river adventure in Adirondack, upstate NY based on previous reviews, design and price (in total payed $ 200). Inflated using supplied pump paying precautions not to over-pump and assembled in around 10 minutes: the entire process was very quick and easy. My original plan was to use it for moving around with camping gear and supply for 1-2 nights. After inflating it for the first time I realized that with both of us on board there were no space left for the camping gear. So we stayed camping on that particular lake and tried the boat there. As previous reviewers pointed out, tracking with the fin attached was not bad, and we paddled across the lake (a couple of miles altogether) without any difficulty. (The were some cross wind and waves, but the boat handled it well). Deflating it removing lock valves was very quick. The next day we decided to try in on a river course, planning paddling 3-4 hours one way and than turn around. En route we collided with underwater rock, but the bottom material took it well. After paddling for a while we decided to rest and take some pictures, so we touched land in the middle of very wide semi lake on big rock standing out the water. It was sunny day with occasional clouds, around 70 degrees. I put the boat on the rock since there were no other place. After 10-15 minutes of enjoying the scenery we heard the very loud bang. Shocked, we turn around and watched in horror that entire starboard was gone! At first we couldn't find the breach, but than realized it was under the front canopy, 1 feet long, along the seam. No way we could repair it with supplied repair kit. Being stranded in the middle of nowhere was not a good feeling, but gradually we decided to try to balance the boat with deflated starboard ...and it worked! (the board itself was still attached to the seats, which prevented it from collapsing). Being very careful, we could manage safely to the starting point. Later I decided to fix the breach temporarily with duct tape hoping not to ruin my fishing plans, but no matter how I tried, the air leaked through the point where final edge of the tape touched the seam.. Now I am thinking about repairing it, but all tutorials on the net are mostly related to fixing holes and not long breaches across the seam. Is it worse fixing it in terms of reliability? Any advice will be appreciated! P.S. While having no complaint about general quality of the product, it is still difficult to believe that it is EXTREMELY vulnerable to the heat. Please be aware of that.

great starter kaykak for experimenting. easy to inflate, easy to solo or with a duo.
great kayak, more of an inflatable canoe form factor, but handles really well, even solo. The replaceable skeg makes all the difference. very easy to inflate with the included manual pump, I can put this together in 10 mins tops. Folding it back into the bag mind you, is somewhat of an art. i have roughly 8 hours in this kayak, sharing it with my brother. More than enough room for 2 adults or average height. storage space in the front and back for items , it's a great kayak. renting a kayak costs about $35/hr, and those are singles, so this has paid off for itself. It you want to experiment with kayaking, this is the kayak for you. My brother bought the K1 and we shared that for a bit before purchasing this one.
