Rafe Khatchadorian is getting the Hollywood treatment in a film version of Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life starring Griffin Gluck, Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle and Thomas Barbusca. Rafe Khatchadorian, the hero of the bestselling Middle School series, is ready for a fun summer at camp - until he finds out it's a summer school camp! Luckily, Rafe easily makes friends with his troublemaking cabin mates and bunkmate, a boy nicknamed Booger Eater, who puts up with endless teasing from the other kids. Rafe soon realises there's more to a person than a nickname, though, and Booger Eater might be the kind of friend you want on your side when the boys from the Cool Cabin attack., This fourth book in the massively popular Middle School series is an unforgettable summer of hi-jinks, new friends, and surprises, all told with the hilarity and honesty readers have come to expect from blockbuster author James Patterson. Review: Epic - This book is a wonderful follow up to the last fantastic middle school books. This is Rafe's most exciting adventure yet and a chance for him to meet not just one bully but a whole team of them as him and his sister head off to summer camp. A must read. Review: Good book - Good book for kids!

A fun summer read - AMF
Middle School - How I Survived Bullies, Broccoli, and Snake Hill, by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts is a humorous story about a middle school boy named Rafe Khatchadorian. It's told from his perspective, and tells of his adventures with his colorful cabin-mates during their summer at Camp Wannamorra, a summer camp/summer school. This book is a witty and entertaining story that deals with bullying and pre-teen drama, and shows you that sticking together can make a big difference. I found it to be a great read, that would appeal to anyone age 10 through 13. Middle School - How I Survived Bullies, Broccoli, and Snake Hill, is a very funny and relatable story, that draws you in and makes you not want to stop reading. I found this book very amusing - it was one of the funniest books I have read.

Engaging Book
My son has not devoured a lot of books, he's a great reader but not a lover of reading. Trying to find books he'll enjoy has been somewhat of a battle. Books he's been completely absorbed with have been the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, I Funny, Cirque Du Freak series and now this title by Patterson. For some reason he wasn't fond of the first Middle School book, but this one has hit the spot! I will occasionally sit next to him as he reads and it's amusing to me. I can see how it would grab the interest of a pre teen boy! Any book that can capture my son's attention to the point where he doesn't want to put the book down deserves a five-star rating in my opinion, and this title nails it.
