Evangelion Finally

A masterpiece OST to a masterpiece anime. I am so happy I got my hands on this CD. I love Evangelion so much even after all these years!

I LOVE EVANGELION The vinyls look really cool on the player and have a cool effect when the sunlight shines through them.

Product was delivered in good condition with solid packaging. Protection is sufficient. I played it with my turnable, all 4 sides have got good sound quality. Additionally, the design and the colour of the vinyl are special and unique. The songs and sound tracks are also amazing, if you like Evangelion this vinyl is a must have item.

Ordered this on the 1st of January and it came today so yea, Evangelion FINALLY. Very good tracks on it and the vinyl design is nice :)

If you're buying this CD, or thinking of doing so, chances are you love the anime the music is from. And that alone really does sell this collection of music; it's a trip down nostalgia lane - each song either filling you with sorrow, happiness or might, or making you try and remember what episode a particular track was from, and where. Sometimes both. Naturally, the two standout tracks on here are 'A Cruel Angel's Thesis' and 'Komm Susser Tod'. Those songs alone are nearly worth the price point, but tracks like 'Soul's Refrain' and a couple of the central ones are also really powerful; echoing chanting and large choirs. There's swing, pop, 'typical' j-pop and some acoustic stuff on here. A real selection. Some of it great, some of it background noise. There isn't, however, the legendary 'Fly Me to the Moon' song that played over the series' iconic closing credits. I can only presume this is down to some sort of rights issue (like how it also didn't appear in Netflix's dub of the original series) - I'm not a terrific fan of the song, but that could influence another fan's decision to purchase this album. It's a really good compilation, though, spanning from the point of the show's original broadcast to more modern covers and reimaginings. A lot of the tracks are five minutes or longer, so you get a lengthy album. But it's also kinda expensive for what you get. Then again, it is niche, to say the least. If you're a fan of NGE, I'm sure you'll more than find a place for this in your collection somewhere. Just make sure the music itself stands on its own merit.

Evangelion's music is goated, and this a really nice release to celebrate that. This record came with two pink disks, which is a great deal for the price when you consider the extra cost of coloured vinyl and anything with Rei Ayanami printed on it.
