It is very nice and very beautiful doll

I wasn't sure after reading a few of the reviews what I would think when the doll arrived but I was actually very pleased. She is not gorgeous with nothing in her mouth but certainly not ugly. I mean come on people, she is NOT an expensive doll! But I think she will hold out well for my baby girl. The hair is super soft and my 1 year old daughter (who I bought the doll for) and 2 year old son both love this :) They also think the little pacifier is funny. She has a light powdery smell, certainly not overpowering by any sense of the word and I would not worry about allergies, toxins etc. Briana does have eyelashes which may not be a good idea for a 1 year old (whoops, didn't notice this when I ordered her) but it does add to the character of the doll. She's a perfect little dolly for a small girl (or boy!).

I have purchased this for my 2 year old daughter and cant wait to see her face when she opens it. It is a lovely doll, able to put thumb and dummy in mouth. Slightly smaller than expected but overall a great purchase.

We have 4 of these adorable Brianna Dolls! My little son has this habit where he has to wrap his fingers around strands of my hair and suck his thumb in order to go to sleep. Terrible! So, at age 1, I bought him his first Brianna doll, so that he could use her hair instead of mine to go to sleep. Each year I've gotten a new one for him. The old one has some pretty bad dreds, and he does prefer the newer ones, but he will use the oldest one if the other ones aren't around. He takes a Brianna doll to preschool with him to use for nap time. I also think it is a good idea to let boys play and use dolls if they are so inclined. It helps with empathy and nurturing. My hair will always be his favorite, but he sure loves his Brianna dolls, too. He takes good care of her, puts her to bed, gives her her own thumb or pacifier (she comes with the ability for both!), feeds her (I bought the Melissa and Doug feeding set for him which includes bottles, pretend baby food, spoon, and bib), and cradles her. This same boy is rough and tumble with tractors, fire trucks, trains, and planes. This Brianna doll just gives him a little softness that rounds him out just perfectly. Melissa and Doug makes excellent quality toys!
