This keyboard fit perfectly, and feels like and works as well as the original. I think the backlight is slightly brighter, which I like. I have been using this for nearly 2 months now with no issues. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a new keyboard.

Excellent, it functions and fits just like the OEM keyboard, including all the backlighting, special function keys, everything works just like a brand new dell unit. Great buy!!

Just installed the keyboard and found that all the keys work great except the spacebar. The keyboard is the right model and fits fine. I took off the spacebar cover/cap and pressed the actuator button itself just to make sure if it's the cap (as Dell had some issues with the cap being too thin to sufficiently press the actuator button), and nothing. The keyboard is faulty. To make matters worse, I can't return it by the eligible date as I'm out of the country. NOT HAPPY.

I had spilled an entire cup of coffee over my computer. Not a great way to start a day! I thought I had killed my computer and was devastated. Then someone from Dell's technical support told me I might try replacing the keyboard. So I ordered the this replacement keyboard, installed it, and I was back up in business in no time! I'm very happy with this keyboard. It definitely beats having to buy another computer!

Replacement for keyboard destroyed by water damage. Everything works as expected. Phew

The DELL M6500 Precision laptop keyboards aren't much from the factory, you (WILL) have to replace it eventually, so buy (2) of these, for the price you CANNOT go wrong!
