Double duty- drinking water and fire fighting!
Amazing for a backpacking. Incredibly small and lightweight as advertised. 28g on my kitchen scale including the stuff sack. Excellent for hauling drinking water to camp. Would fit in the palm of a child’s hand. I recently encountered a smoldering fire pit in a back country area on a day hike while backpacking. The fire had burned 3-4 feet out of the ring and several inches deep into the duff below the trees. We dug a trench to contain and then hauled up water from a nearby lake to put the fire out. Not sure how I would have put that fire out without this bucket. Luckily I had the bucket with me mostly as a backup for drinking from a straw filter. I promptly bought another when I got home. I’ll carry two from now on.

Expensive but no regrets
This was a real "splurge" item for me since I already have platypus bags and a couple of MSR Dromedary bags too. I wanted something VERY lightweight that I could easily fill from a spring or stream, then hang at camp for washing hands and cookware as needed. The Sea to Summit folding bucket works great for this purpose, and nearly disappears in your pack - also very easy to re-stuff into its little sack. I also ended up using it to drink from by using my Sawyer Mini filter with straw.I left it hanging up ~ 24hrs through a freezing night. Some ice formed and melted again, so I thought that was a good test of the seams and waterproofing of them. Not a drop of water leaked, and I have not yet bothered to seam seal as I thought I should on first inspection. The bucket DOES NOT STAND on its own reliably, so don't expect that and disregard other reviews faulting it for this.A bucket like this is great to have on so many situations, and at such a small and light package it's a no-brained to add it on a trip. I actually pack it inside my Toaks titanium pot along with coffee and other things to be used as a sort of ultralight kitchen sink that can also haul a lot of water from distances.

Amazingly lite and packable!
I've been a fan of Sea to Summit equipment for several years and last year I added the 20 lt bucket to my standard weekend backpacking gear. On an August campout however I left my bucket hanging from a tree and needed to find a replacement.I tried using a standard dry bag as a bucket for a couple weekends but then decided to get another "real" bucket. The 20 lt. had turned out to be more than I needed so I decided on a 10 lt. instead. The specs on this "Ultra-Sil" bucket showed it to be the lightest 10 liter Sea and Summit made so I ordered it. I was amazed when I opened up the mail envelope and held it for the first time. The tiny stuff-sack with the bucket inside weighs only 1 ounce and fit in the palm of my hand without any overhang. Imagine taking a large lemon and slicing off two sides to leave a center section as thick as your index finger. That is the packed size of the ultra-sil bucket only lighter! Only 1 ounce! This bucket will not free stand with water in it, however to be honest I was never able to get my 20 ltr. to do it either despite the claims on the website. Hang this bucket from a tree limb or clip it into a carabiner and it works great to hold water in camp to be used for cooking, cleaning or filtering. The ultra-sil bucket is 4 times lighter than my previous bucket and packs at least 3-4 times smaller. This has turned out to be a great replacement to my standard gear load. No regrets!

Love love love this bucket!
It comes in a tiny little case and expands to a nice size bucket 🪣. Perfect for backpacking. Very, very lightweight and holds so much water! Works great with water filters as can pour right into them.We hung from a tree and poured water out into Sawyer.

So many uses on a backpack!
Lightweight and perfect for backpacking. As a lightweight backpacker I am always looking for multi use items and this little bucket is amazing. Here are the things I used it for on my last 100 mile backpack: capture water for filtering, caring bottles back and forth to the creek, carry cooking gear to the kitchen, washing clothes, washing my body, washing dishes, protecting things in my pack, and the cute little case that I can just stuff it into. Fits every time. I'm sure there are things that I missed but this is probably one of my best purchases! Highly recommended!

It works
I wanted a very lightweight water carrier that I can dip into a water source and bring back for camp use, or to properly extinguish a camp fire. This is the ticket!I have previously used a PVC plastic type folding campig bucket (also by Sea to Summit), but this is not only much smaller when stored, but also lighter (less than 1/2 the size of a deck of cards). I am not a gram-weenie, but this just made sense. I went to REI to check it out before coming to Amazon to make the purchase. I wanted to make sure that it is as lightweight and compact as it looked. It is.

Makes a really good water system
I added a few ideas to what others have done and it looks better than any water system I have seen yet. It has not stood the test of time though.First, I cut a cord and put it on the handle. When I go to fill it, I plan on putting a little water in it for weight to throw it into a lake. Then pull the cord and it should fill right up. Could also guide it with a long piece of wood or trekking pole. After it is filled I will tie it to a tree.Everywhere I went backpacking, water was hard to get from the mud and waves. This should be easier than even the CNOC bag to get water.Second, I will siphon the water to filter it. I cut a 4 foot section of a 1/4 inch hose that fits onto a Sawyer Squeeze filter. To keep the hose in pace, it fits into the cord I attached to the handle. Then when it is siphoning, it will go into light water pouches. The 1/4 inch hose does have some weight to it, but it is still lighter than other water systems with the same capacity. So I have not tried it backpacking yet, but it is winter. At home it couldn't be looking any better.

Amazing for the size and weight
It seems a little crazy that something so small and simple can cost as much as it does, but there really isn't anything out there like it. If weight and packability are important, this is leagues ahead of other collapsible buckets for backpacking. Sure, you can't set it on the ground with water in it (it has NO structure whatsoever), but we make sure to find a branch we can hang it off of in camp before we fill it. The only other minor caveat is that the handle isn't particularly comfortable and can dig into your hand on long walks from your water source. I don't think you could do any better for the weight, but its something to keep in mind if you're considering carrying that bag of water from that easy to access stream a mile from camp, or the tough scramble closer to camp (go for the scramble). We fill ours, hang it in camp, and use it to refill the water filter dirty bag, wash hands (lift a corner and it pours pretty well off the side), and drench fire pits. If you need to carry water further or have no good trees or stumps to hang this off of, I'd consider using a sealable water bag or a proper bucket.

Its ok but doesn't stand on its own, water would pour all over the place
This is good for collecting water but you cannot stand it on the ground, only if its really really straight flat ground but any movement or wind and the whole 10 supposedly liters will be gone. It is advertised on the company's website to hang on a carabiner up somewhere. I think I may use it that way or just as a mini packable bag to collect sticks for small kindling and firewood ...
