Impressive ability to send a better signal across my driveway
I have spent the past few years trying different WiFi extenders or other products to have reliable WiFi across my driveway in a workshop. Things went ok with others but when I needed reliable video speed for my meetings, this xfi pod has been a game changer. My extender picks it up. The pod is plugged in right near the external door so it brought the signal about 20 feet closer. It still has to go through some walls and hit my extender but I’ve got over 70-100mbps download and 40+mbps for upload now, where I had been functioning on 30% of that before. Without my extender it’s very hit or miss, so I still need that in the workshop. Recommend.

These are only halfway compatible with the latest Xfinity Gateway
Gateway supports WiFi 6 and the pods do not. Many devices (iPhone/ Pixel) don't know how to handle this mixed mesh properly. They stay connected to the WiFi 6 Gateway even when there is a nearer pod with stronger signal. You should ditch your gateway rental and buy an actual WiFi mesh pod system with a modem.

Good extension to xfinity network
It works seamlessly with my xfinity router and adds a couple of network ports, as well as expanding the network coverage, I used it to replaced a failed Orbi satellite and it seems slower than that device.. but it was half the price of a replacement…

xPod to the rescue
Generation 2 has much better coverage. Installation was easy, just use the Xfinity app and wait about two minutes. Works perfectly. We had two major dead spots for the Wi-Fi and both of these spots are now full signal.

The one to buy if you use an Xfinity router
This is the extender to use if you have an Xfinity box. I first bought a highly rated (by consumer reports) extender from another company, and had nothing but frustration trying to link it up. This one took no time at all and gives me great coverage.

Not worth the money
Challenging to configure, spent hours on phone with Apple. After finally getting configured, doesn’t really help range

Works great
Needed WiFi range to reach the other side of my house and the driveway so the cars would be able to complete an OTA update and the ring camera could connect and properly function. This was super easy to setup and achieved its purpose. Have had it over 2 years and it still works like a champ.
