Itโs works! safe? Not so much....
Just installed draft inducer this afternoon. Took three hours with general shop tools handy. First off, it does increase draft! But, only mildly. Not the increase I expected. Second, this thing has so many air leaks that itโs ridiculous. I installed it on an outdoor wood boiler to pull smoke out of the fire box while Iโm loading it and smoke stays out of my face. I would never install this inside my house! If your chimney doesnโt produce a strong draft quickly, then smoke will leak out all around and THRU this thing! It leaks like a sieve! (Isnโt a lack of draft the reason to install this in the first place.) I feel like installing this in someoneโs basement is a potential death sentence. Iโm sorry but I would never put this in the same building I sleep in.

Exact replacement
I needed a replacement draft inducer for a Water Maze industrial evaporator. The dealer said he could get me one from the manufacturer for $500.00 + or he could get an after market one with some funny German sounding name he couldn't remember (un huh, like Tjernlund maybe?) for $425.00. At this point I had not disassembled the machine to take out the old unit so I really did not know what it was. I thought the prices he gave me were ridiculous so I started looking around and found this one on Amazon for $130.00 = freight and I thought it looked like what I needed from what I could see. I ordered it and when I got the old one out I saw that it was an exact match, brand, model, everything. I couldn't be happier and I saved $275.00. What's not to like?

I like the good quality of the product but it take to much time to receive it and the price for the transportation to Canada is totally ridiculous.

Good for the price
Does pull air, exhaust, not a whole lot, but definitely increases airflow.

It sucks......smoke out the shed!
Works great for me, I am using it probably in a manner "other than directed", but it for sure picks up air flow a BUNCH IN A 6" pipe. Vents my coal forge very well. Not perfectly, but by no fault of the product. My issues are design issues, and this thing saved me a boatload of heartache in making up for those flaws.
