I had a timer we use to control our holiday lights in front of the house that will turn things on when the sun goes down and then turns them off after a set duration. Trouble was, I wanted a timer to turn an outdoor fountain pump ON during the day and off at sunset. I installed this unit, programmed it and plugged it in and it has worked flawlessly sine then. One nice feature is the internal battery. If you have to unplug the unit for any reason, the battery can maintain your settings until the whole thing is plugged back in again. I have used it through bad weather and with the drop down lid and the receptacles at the bottom of the unit, which provides protection from the elements, it has worked without problem. Recommended

I've had this thing for about 3 years now. It is still working perfectly. I mainly use it for holiday lights. Just remember to check if it's in manual or auto mode. This has caused me some frustration, but I realize it's just user error. It's great if you just want to set the schedule once and let it do it's thing. One thing I do have an issue with is how close and tight the 2 outlets are together. If you have large, bulky plugs, they probably won't fit. Or you may only be able to use one of them.

I have this unit controlling a pond fountain pump and lights plus a set of floodlights and it works faultless, it has a built in battery which allows it to keep time even doing a power outage which is a plus, overall I am pleased with the unit

I've now burned through at least 4 outdoor timers. They seem to make it through about a year. I will have to see what the life on this one is. I use these to connect to my low voltage transformer that powers my yard lights. I always like having ones that have two outlets, not just one. It is also frustrating to try to set them up indoors, unplug them, have them lose your set up, and have to set them up again once plugged outside. With this one, you have a battery back up so you can set it up indoors. Unlike the last one I owned, this one will quickly allow you to set all 7 days for the same time without having to set each day individually. I also like that I can hit a button, switch to manual, and test my lights to see if they are working or not. What seems to do these digital outdoor ones in is weather. Once they get too wet, they tend to fail. So we will see how this one fairs. It does have a cover, which hopefully will help.

For the price this is a solid product. I bought it because it has a cover and is weather proof. It can run up to eight different on/off programs and can be operated manually. The only drawbacks i have found is that it only stores time. It does not store date. So it cannot automatically change for daylight savings time and it cannot be programmed for dusk/dawn. It is simply a digital version of the classic motorized dial with pegs. The other inconvenience is that to turn it on or off manually, it must be taken out of auto mode. I am using it to control UV lights in an outdoor pond and it would have been nice to be able to manually turn the lights off without taking it out of auto mode. But an easy solution... I just unplug the UV light when servicing the light. None of this is reason to remove a star. It functions exactly as advertised and is priced appropriately for its capability.

I thought this timer would be suitable to control my Halloween display as it features similar controls to some timers I have hard wired to external lighting that I have (Intermatic). Unfortunately I was WAY wrong. Besides the “con” of it having a very short cord, there is simply no way to guarantee it’s programming. At best, it’s unreliable. Here’s why: 1. UI - the UI is somewhat similar to the hardwired timers I have wired to my external lights, but there is an added layer of confusion; this is due to the manual and automatic features as well as the multitude of programs (8) that it features. This leads to my next point: 2. It is NOT easy to program. I’ve been to my outlet several times in order for my lights to simply turn on. You must select the days in which the program should run as well as on the on and off times. This seems normal. However, this features 8 programs and if a program is set accidentally you will rack your brain trying to determine why. 3. No smarts and who on this down earth needs 8 programs to run????? - what I mean is that if you were to mistakenly program a conflicting time, the system is not smart enough to indicate as such. Thus you’re simply wasting electricity as I found out when my displays ran for a weekend without turning off. Since the programs conflict, the timer stays in whatever default (in my case off). 4. Auto On and Auto Off setting - why is this even there? Wouldn’t that just be manual? Yes. It would. This features a manual on/off and an auto on/off. This should be simplified to simply auto, manual on/off. Problem solved. 5. Build quality - this is subpar at best and uses cheap internal components, yet is sold at a premium price. Since I tossed the box, I figured I couldn’t return it. I opened the boxed and subpar soldering (typical Chinese manufacturing) are not up to US codes. It’s likely “fine”, but again not code worthy. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with this connected to my house due to fire hazard. In the end this ended up in the trash and I went with a very simple timer instead as I want my display on at 19:00 and off at 23:00. Too many features with accessibility and usability tossed out the window to accommodate. Don’t trust the ratings.

Works well

This is the timer to buy! I’ve tried several digital timers before and this one is the best. Others are hard to program and not reliable. This one is awesome with individual days to easily program and even saves it if there is a power outage. It also has a nice cover. Note! When you first plugged in the MASA manual. You’d have to hold down the manual button for about five seconds to return it to automatic before you program it. Also, after your program it, you must hit the manual button one more time to switch it to the automatic program. Very important. I use this timer for my hot tub. Go overnight. It doesn’t use any electricity.

Este temporizador funciona bien hasta ahora. This timer is awesome. I can set it to go off every day,mon-fri, or only a certain day. I use mine on the monday-friday setting for work as it gets cold in the winter and it helps jump start my truck for the cold(plugged in heater block). It's very easy to use and has a back up battery so when you unplug it or it accidentally unplugs itself you don't lose your settings
