Great quality
The camera is actually really good, the image quality is among the best and the wide angle is supreme. I really couldn't find any better camera with these spects at this price. I have tried multiple and this one is the best so far. A common misconception is that image can become blurry, but as somebody that has been using these systems for many years, all outdoor cameras need regular dome cleaning, its normal for the cover to get dirty and alter clarity. Customer service is legit, they want to make sure you get a good product. This is the way of why a client decides to stick with the same brand, mutual loyalty.

Great 180 deg view camera
When I first hooked this camera up it didn't work right. It was to bright with no color during the day, at night it was really dark and it wasn't seeing it's own ir lights so I made a return and bought another camera. When it got dark that next night it worked all of a sudden it could see at night, then the next day the picture was awesome not to bright and there was color. It fixed it self I guess so I will keep it. Works great now.

Don't Use the Screwing Guide
Update: After having it a few days, this thing is just not good. The night vision is basically unusable and I've tried cleaning it several times. $50 for a camera that basically can't be used at night and was a pain to install is ridiculous. Dropping my review to 1-star. I'm conflicted about this camera. It came with an included screwing guide, but the guide was not accurate and the holes ended up being waaay off, which was pretty heart-breaking since I was mounting it on a brick wall and the effort I went through to drill those holes in masonry was not a small feat. I should have checked to make sure the guide was correct and marked the holes using the device, so perhaps that's on me. I finagled it so that the screws for 2 of the holes lined up and it seems sturdy enough mounted with just 2 screws, but time will tell. Another thing I don't like is that the settings can only be adjusted using the little joystick on the cord next to the camera. I had already mounted it 8 feet up on a wall outside, so that was pretty difficult to coordinate with another person to yell which buttons to press at them until we got the settings adjusted properly. It does start off on the lowest resolution settings, but the instructions are clear about this and it can be adjusted for a higher resolution which looks much better. Day vision is good, but the night vision is terrible. There are some sort of scratches or defects on the lens that are not visible during the day, but cloud the lens at night. You can still see the area decently, but the fine detail is obscured by the little scratches. Not sure what's going on there, but it's disappointing to only get a good image in the daytime. I will say that the day vision is pretty good and the wide angle can't be beat. I had 2 different bullet-style cameras up to cover my porch because it's got a weird layout and they still didn't cover it all. I'd still have to go physically check the blind spots for packages. This camera absolutely is a wide angle 180-degree field of view and it covers my entire porch with 0 blind spots while only taking up 1 camera channel and 1 little spot on the wall. I have a COBRA DVR and it integrated perfectly, though it does cause some odd minor interference with my older COBRA bullet cameras. Since I'm looking to upgrade those cams, I'm not super worried about it, but it's something to note. The camera is highly adjustable and can be moved around to different angles and it seems like it's got some weatherproofing and the housing is solid. All in all, I think it'll work for my needs and it's okay for the price, but it's just okay. Will update if I can solve the clouding issue and, if so, I think it would be a 5-star camera with the caveat that you should disregard the screwing guide and make your own!

CS stands behind their products!!!
Bought back in Jan and just got around to installing it because recovery from an accident takes some a bit. Had it up a couple weeks under an eave and it quit working today. Edited 9-5-2025 The 5MP quit and CS resolved. Amazon won't let me review each product. No issues with the 2MP. I enjoy the lenses on their camera's. Two of their camera's 15' off the ground allows me to view my entire .3 acre lot. Daytime images/video is excellent. Nightime images are better than the other 5MP IR cameras (not as grainy). I use 2 IR flood lamps with these to illuminate my lot for night viewing. If you like being able to see then these are excellent cameras at an unbeatable price. Buy'em without fear. CS stand behind their products. Enjoy the best FOV you'll find on $35-50 cameras. Many claim wide view; these cameras certainly deliver 180 degree of viewing.

Very bad resolution
There's no way this thing is 5MP. More like 1MP or something like that. You're better off buying a highly rated 1MP camera. I purchased to replace a broken analog camera that was much lower resolution and not wide angle. It will work for now, but seriously poor resolution.

Good upgrade for 720 cameras or where field of view is critical
This camera the 5mp version works good and came with clear instructions. I replaced a Commercial 720p (non wide angle) security camera with this one at work. The effective resolution or image clarity is slightly better than the 720p camera I replaced, but not as good as the 1080p (poe, non wide angle) one that's also in the garage. For my use I'm not relying on it for facial id but if someone is with in 15feet you can see them clear as day. some people said the color is off, I found this to be true only when running in CVBS mode, If you put it in 5mp or 4mp mode the colors become much more accurate. I had to adjust the setting very little. I liked this one so much that I bought second one for another area. Now I can see all the doors and the key fob reader. But again the image quality is only slightly better than the 720p camera I replaced. As 180 degree analog cameras are hard to come by I will be buying one more of these for new install. But in that location the camera will be sitting about 4ft from the door and will close enough for Facial ID. I would recommend this camera if field of view is critical. Also a plus if you can place this camera near your target its will work for Facial ID. Or if you have 720p cameras and you want more field of view. For my application I replaced old camera to cover obvious blind spots. If your planning a new install or upgrading old cameras keep in mind some basic Ideals of security like range to target. If DCSEC makes revision I would like to see a better image sensor so this camera can sit between a1080p and 2k camera in image quality. Edit I'm an idiot. I changed the bit rate the max and it's as good as my commercial 1080p cameras but covers twice the area. Definitely a recommendation to buy!

Wide angle coverage
Update 11/26/2025 I’ve been using DCSEC cameras for my security system and have been very happy with their performance and image quality. One of my cameras developed an issue about two months after Amazon’s return window had closed, so I reached out to DCSEC directly to see if anything could be done under warranty. Their support team responded quickly, diagnosed the problem, and shipped me a brand-new replacement camera without any hassle. The replacement arrived on 11/25/2025 and works perfectly. Thank you Amandar! It’s rare these days to find a company that stands behind its products this well. The combination of solid hardware and truly reliable customer service makes DCSEC an easy recommendation. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again. Don't forget to register your product with DCSEC. Good wide angle coverage. Night vision is adequate. Good value for what it is.
