Monoprice makes good stuff at reasonable prices
I've never bought a cable from Monoprice I was unhappy with, and I've bought quite a few cables from them over the years. I recommend Cat6 for home use, since Cat6a would be of benefit only for very long cables not needed in most homes. All my cables are 50 feet or less. Cat6a is recommended for lengths longer than around 100-150 feet. Cat5a should be fine too, but Cat6 is a bit sturdier and will handle higher speeds, should that ever be needed in the future. I prefer more sturdy cabling whenever I have to pull it through the attic or around corners.I've had old Cat5 cables weaken and break over time because they are rather flimsy. Better to pay a bit more since the price difference for home use is only a few dollars for short cables (50' or less).I also like that ethernet cables from Monoprice come in a variety of colors. That makes it easier when connecting several devices to know in the future which one goes where. The rooms in my home that have AV equipment typically need three or four connections, so I just buy an inexpensive switch for each room. (They're around $10 now.) The wires from each switch can be different colors. One for the TV, others for the DVD player, TiVo, AppleTV or whatever.

Short reliable Cat6 patch cable
I use this short Monoprice Cat6 patch cable to connect a switch port on my desk, and it has worked exactly as needed. The two-foot length keeps the setup neat without leaving excess cable hanging around, and the connectors fit securely in both the switch and network equipment. I have had stable wired connectivity with no dropouts or odd behavior during normal use. The cable feels well made and flexible enough for routing behind the desk, while still holding its shape. I have owned it for about a year and it remains reliable. Because it is only two feet long, I would consider it a desk or rack cable rather than a general-purpose run, but that short length is precisely what makes it convenient in my setup. It is a simple cable that does the job.

Great for home networks
Works really well for home networks if you arent planning on unplugging them all the time, the clip is a little hard to push down but otherwise its great
User
Good but near impossible to remove!
Works, good price, just the right length. Performs as expected. Unfortunately as mentioned by other reviewers it is incredibly difficult to remove once installed. It's very painful to remove with your fingers and basically requires the use of a tool like a screwdriver to press down on the latch.

Well Made
The project required CAT6 to connect 24 channels of wireless to a switch. Short cables of high quality made the job not only work as soon as we flipped the switch, it looks great. You're right, I should take a picture.

Monoprice Is a Brand I Recommend for Quality
Monoprice cables and Amazon Essentials cables are the two brands I trust more than any others out there. This cable is durable and serves as a perfect patch cable into my network switch.

It's cheap. Would I buy it again? No.
Here's the thing. I quickly needed a short CAT6 cable and this was cheap and I saw Monoprice so I figured this will do fine. This cable, as others have pointed out, is very hard to remove once it's plugged in. I had to use needle nose pliers to get this thing out. Follow the advice of another reviewer and take some nail clippers and clip off part of that black rubber thing that holds the clip in place. It is way too tight. 3 stars for price. 1 star for easy removal.

Worked Well
Works well for what I needed. Hooked up devices to my Router. For the price well worth it

Super
Halt ein NW-Kabel, macht keine Probleme.
User
Very difficult to remove.
After inserting in a coupler, I found it very difficult to remove, while with other ethernet cables I have had no problem.
