These remote heads were harder to find than they should be. New building electrical codes require external remote heads at each exit door. I used these with the Amazon commercial brand exit signs which are 100% LED with nicad battery. They worked good. My only complaint is these lights only come with a bare wire connection. The are labeled +- but you still need to use a low voltage cord to bring electricity from the sign on the inside. I used 18/2 cl3. A lot of exit signs use JST XH 2.5 2pin connector plugs. You can order a pack of them for cheap. Make sure your exit sign can support remote heads and the battery is big enough for the 90 minute runtime requirement.

I bought four of these lights. I read the reviews before buying and wanted to give these units a chance. Let me tell you, I made a huge mistake. My package arrived and I tested them all out. One of them doesn’t light up in general and another one arrived broken and is missing four screws holding the plastic cover on the light. Looks like one of them is used. Do not waste your money on these remote heads, spend the extra money and get better quality

Ordered 6 of these to replace OLD units at Strip Mall. Tested with 6 Volt battery. 2 of them turned on ONCE and when tested again would not light up. The other four would not light up at all. Tested with 3 different NEW 6 Volt batteries along with voltmeter to make sure it was the lights. Wasted 3 hours on this product since we drove out there with supplies to attach to building. Very dissappointed.

Installed light to replace non-functioning one. DIdn't work. Checked voltage--good and within range. Also connected directly to battery without success. Since this is a third party, Amazon deducts the initial shipping cost and I pay to return the broken part. Don't buy!!!

Installed these lights turned on turned off turned on again no light took down bench tested doesn’t work could not send back for exchange or refund the reason they gave hazardous material ?
