My daughter is a college student with dyslexia; as part of her accommodations she's supposed to get the audio version of the books we buy but instead they give her .pdf's which she's supposed to listen to with the Narrator on her computer - talk about problematic & tiresome. I saw this on Amazon and purchased it right away and Wow! Easily turned 4 textbooks into audio books that she can seamlessly listen to on any mp3 supported device (pc, phone, car). What a great tool. Should be noted that it doesn't seem to work with large text files (over 1000KB) so I had to one of the books into two parts then convert to text files and the software then worked like a charm.

I write books and use it to give my readers something to listen to when driving the car. I doesn't handle slang well for example I had a section in one of my books talking about a HUMMV with a 50 CAL on top it changed it to a hummv with fifty calories on top and it kind of sounded like a sweet bun. So you need to go though what you change and get rid of the slang. Its not hard but it is extra work.

I’m happy that this actually converts text to an mp3 that I can listen to. It’s pretty easy to use and does what it says it will do.

Last date to return was day before delivered. Voice is robotic in nature and is very annoying to listen to. Would not advise buying this piece of crap.
