Toyo Pistol Grip Glass Cutter, Assorted Colors

Can’t beat this glass cutter. Works great and consistently each time. I dip in a folded paper towel w oil instead of filling chamber. I’ve never had much luck with the chambers not leaking do I can’t talk to that.

To me the Toyo glass cutters are some of the best for the money. I have been using the toyo brass barrel cutters for 30yrs. and have only replaced one cutter head in those many yrs.( dropped a cutter on concrete and made a slight flat in the carbide wheel). I got this cutter to work with the other cutters I have to help change the wrist attitude a bit to not not stress my wrist too much. Simply I still use both type cutter and find this pistol grip tool great to use. Don't ever load the chambers with oil because I keep the cutters in a small stoneware jar with a 0000 steel wool pad with wd40 as a lubricant and rust inhibitor. Works as intended

I initially purchased a common "key" type glass cutter from a local hardware store, and then a pencil type brass oil feeding cutter from the HL craft store. Much of the HL glass I was attempting to cut had some dips and bumps even on the smooth side. Some glass my cutter would just slide all over the glass. I noticed as I watched more and more videos that almost everyone used Toyo cutters, and mostly pistol grip. Not sure if it was me, the glass, or the cutter, I broke down and ordered one. I didn't get it out until 2 days ago to start a new project for the class I'm taking. All I can say is WOW! All of those people wielding Toyo cutters on YT are so right - this is absolutely a game changer for me. It is comfortable to grip and easy to apply pressure in the correct area, angle, and amount due to the position of the cutting head in relation to the grip. All of this also makes it easier for me to guide the cutting head along pattern lines. I have tossed my $4.95 hardware store key cutter aside and plan on buying a spare cutting head for this one. I am now extremely interested in the larger head for cutting thicker glass. Have converted into a true Toyo cutter fan.
