Sun Company GoCompass - Micro Orienteering Wrist Compass | Watch Band or Paracord Bracelet Compasses with Rotating Bezel

I bought this little gem in March, 2021, and slipped it onto my cheap Casio watchband. The white rotating bezel is clearly marked in 5-degree increments, and makes it easy to set the compass for your local declination, to find true North to within a 2- or 3-degree precision. It has served me well, two-and-a-half years, and only in the last five months have I noticed the bezel marks fading. You probably know just how much damage accumulates to anything worn on your wrist, day and night. Yet, even without the bezel markings, the compass is still fully functional, rotating freely, has no bubbles to hinder rotation, and placed alongside my Suunto MC-2, is just as accurate as it was when new! I have great admiration for the people who designed and created this particular "button" compass, and I hope they continue to produce compasses of this excellent quality. This one is definitely worth the money...and I'm ordering another one today. (...and the old one will go into a mini Survival Kit...)

Great little compass! I’ve only had it a few days but I live and work on a farm so it’s already seen some sweat, rain and dings. No marks on it and still working accurately. For the price you can’t go wrong with this one. Easy to use the degree bezel which is very helpful. The flow is pretty good too, it’s about the same quality glow as my timex expedition scout solar. Overall, not bad at all for the price. I was hesitant due to some of the reviews showing it falling out but that’s an easy fix (IF) mine ever does.

So I give this a 4 but with an asterisk. I like it. I really do. That said, I'm more impressed with it than I thought I'd be. It will actually point to magnetic north. I compared it to the other compass as you see in the pic. They're both pointing roughly in the same direction which I already know is the direction of magnetic north. That said, it appears to be useless when on my watchband as it points in various directions when I move around. However, I didn't buy it thinking my life would depend on it working correct but more of a decorative piece.. If I ever did need it for that reason, I'd take it off my watchband and set it down somewhere as free from metal and EMF as I could.

Yep. I was like you once. A very desperate person. A desperate person? Desperate for what you may say? A COMPASS THAT CAN ATTACH TO YOUR WATCH. Why did I want a compass to attach to my watch? I dont know, but I really wanted one one day and I looked on amazon. I was surprised there were actually a few results, but it seemed like this one was the best one based on the rating. I read the reviews. The constant, ominous and volumptious warnings, whispering grave danger towards my unwavering ears. They screamed and whispered, "doooont buuy it... it demagnatizes after a weeek...." and a bunch of other reviews with that same memo. Yet me, being the desperate and determined person I was, I BOUGHT IT... and then, I waited... couple days later, DING DONG. The box came. I opened the box, and Voila~ the compass watch attachment was here. I attached it to my watch, and I giggled in glee at the compass watch attachment, as it would sway with my direction, the arrow in a constant dance with the north. Fast forwards some mere days later, I woke up one morning. I had a smile on my face, as I was ready to wear my special watch again! Though, my face quickly turned anew face, a face filled with, hatred... betrayment, perhaps. The compass was DEAD. Frozen. Dumb... I, was heartbroken. My compass watch attachment was no more but a useless peice of plastic. Yet alast with a defeated attitude, I marched over to my phone, opened amazon and went to customer support. I issued a refund, yet to no avail, I was met with utter silence... i was stuck with a peice of 11 dollar plastic, and a feeling of shame for not listening to those past reviews. I wept and coped, as I angrily hurled the compass watch attachment at the wall, and later down the toilet and into the sewer where it could belong. SO, HEED MY WARNING, dear amazoner. Do NOT buy this. No matter how utterly TEMPTING it may seem, pulling you in with its call like a siren... I heavily urge you to turn away from this, this... SCAM! And never look back! It is an illusion of false hope, and just a terrible, terrible product with terrible, terrible people pulling the strings. I kissed my 11 dollars goodbye. Will you do the same?

This small travel compass is perfect to stow away during outdoor trips. This is clipped to my backpack straps and is able to be out of the way but also easily accessed to verify direction of travel. The cost is worth it as it is well made and functions well. The face is also easy to see in the dark with the glow in the dark bezel.

I needed a replacement watchband compass for my Luminox Series 3050/3950 Navy SEAL dive watch (which has a thick 23mm black rubber strap), and I thought this compass would fit it since its supposed to fit most sports watchbands. The compass itself is nice enough (with a rotating bezel and luminous directional markings for N, S, E & W) and seems reasonably accurate (for an $8 liquid-filled compass), but it definitely DOES NOT FIT the Luminox Navy SEAL series watches. Which is too bad, otherwise I would have given it a full four star rating.

I bought this in addition to the mini Sun compass. I made a paracord band for it to wear or attach on a backpack or hiking stick. It has a rotating bezel. The compass face glows in the dark. A great compact compass for orienteering, camping, hunting or teaching. And a great price.

Seems to work spot on for me, granted other reviews however. I’ve read a couple people saying it’ll pop out eventually as it’s only held by a piece of adhesive tape; so I’ll pop it out & super glue it soon to avoid that. Other than that, well worth ten dollars in my book! Btw, this won’t fit thick watch straps, so if you have a double layered nylon strap or a super thick rubber strap, try another brand. It does fit my Casio G Shock resin band a good 3/4 ways up (not all the way).

For its cost this is amazing, and it fits on all NATO watch straps, you may find it tight on others. It would not fit my Pro-Tek watch strap. It indicates north but can be easily put off by electronics around it. but at a push and if you are in need it will work. I personally have a full compass for map reading, this is a great addition to most watch straps, and it often start's conversations with other people.

item received in good condition & was nicely packed as well...am pretty happy with the GoCompass & everything seem to work fine as it should be...finally can re-live my childhood days for compass on a watchband strap...

Good little compass for quick checks to make sure you aren't too far off course. It did squeeze onto the velcro type band of my Timex. Instead I made a bracelet with survival paracord as I didn't want it on my watch all the time, just on my wrist when hiking. Would buy again. Maybe I should make a bracelet for my wife!
