Bold Smart Lock - Keyless Smart Door Lock - Silver (SX-33)

This is so easy to install and makes life so much easier. I wish I’d got this sooner. It took me less than 10 minutes to install and the app works perfect. There’s also a back up mechanical unlock feature which works perfect. I wish it was a bit cheaper as I’d fit one to our garage door too. Hopefully they’ll come down in price. The quality is fantastic and feels well made. One slight issue seems to be when my partner and I return home together, the lock won’t automatically open but does when we arrive home separately.

I did a lot of research before buying Bold. My door sometimes requires an adjustment to be locked, so the motorized smart lock is not for me. The long battery life is another consideration. Bold is very easy to install; both the lock and the app. It works perfectly as expected. I don't have to carry the key anymore. Love this lock!

I bought two of these - front and utility doors. Very easy to install. You have to get your head around how to lock/unlock, as in the video. As long as you realise 1. Push button (inside door, phone or clicker) 2. Turn to lock/unlock 3. Use handle to open You can also use the "pin code" - this is like a safe - et. 2 to the right, 4 to the left etc. This is the failsafe. It us slightly less easy to get the hang of, but ok.

I was in between this lock and waferlock. I liked this lock because the hub you can get and unlock the door from anywhere. Great for deliveries. So I got it installed it. It was very easy. It looked great. Then I ran into an issue locking in from the outside. Also the backup code did not work. So I tried to reach the support via email and app as they have no phone number. Never got a response. After many unsuccessful attempts, I gave up, returned it and went with waferlock which I also had an issue with it but support replied super fast and it is all working now. SHAME on you Bold. You have a great product but you kill it with bad support!

The lock looks great, the initial operation is good too.. it looks classy and is a breeze to fit. However the lock isn't 'smart' - there is no wifi link without the connector box, which has a big button on it that seems to do precisely nothing (it doesn't unlock the door despite being connected to it) and even with the wifi connector there is no 'smart' functionality at all (no Alexa integration etc) - you cant lock/unlock it with anything other than the app... there isn't even a widget for your phone so you need to wait for the app to load, no NFC either to tap your phone on the door to unlock it. A lot of the hardware seems to be there, but the software is poor/missing altogether, which is a real shame. They do a 'tab' but that's an added extra too, at this price point it really should be included. Again with no smart home connectivity whatsoever you cant even purchase stuff to connect with it separately. I REALLY wanted to like this, but I've gotta say I'm hugely disappointed in what you're actually getting for your money. it's really pretty poor. I'm sure they will do a 'V2' of this with the missing features in it at some point, and I'd be interested in trying it. but this device is just an expensive inconvenience as it currently stands.

Really was easy to set up and install. I didn’t bother with the hub for internet connection. I did get the clicker though. This had to be bought separately - much easier for a guest. I chose this lock because of the backup PIN feature. I am very pleased with this smart lock.

Very easy to install, simply unscrew the old one, pull it out the door and insert the new. Sync with the app on your phone and away you go. Easy to add the additional door buttons for friends and family.

Der Einbau und die Einrichtung waren sehr einfach zu machen. Mit dem Auto entry klappt auch, aber nur wenn ich länger weg war. Bei kurzem Briefkasten und wieder zurück geht es nicht. App Steuerung ist auch gut. Alles zusammen empfehlenswert.

A great lock, very easy to replace an existing cylinder, I have two of these. The cool thing is that I am no longer moving around with bunch of keys for different places + when I have friends and family visiting us giving access is much easier via the app vs conventionally giving them a key. I also like the back up pin feature in case the battery on the phone dies as well as the clickers. On the downsides: sometimes the auto-unlock function takes quite some time to activate and also if you go take out the garbage it will not be enabled due to the proximity (will not register you are away in order to activate the auto unlock). That makes you put the building door keys into your pocket and take out your phone. There is a way around it of course - the clicker but the price for this simple bluetooth device is way too high (about 40 per clicker) and for a large family that is quite an expense + the cylinder itself. Overall good product but the auto unlock speed at makes me want a regular key occasionally.

Serrure installée depuis 2021 et qui fonctionne tous les jours parfaitement. Changement de pile au bout de 2,5 ans.

Per più di un anno bene, peccato che volta che fai un invito il ospite si deve registrare fornendo telefono (fino lì giusto per associare l'app alla serratura) e poi la mail, solo con il fine di avere più controllo sulle persone. Adesso in più si deve fare un invito tramite whatsapp al qualle l'ospite deve accettare per che si attive la app.... Che senso hà? Si l'ospite non vuole accettare l'invito basta che non apra l'app... ho clienti in un B&B che sopratutto voleno privicy, è pratticamente con questo devono a stare con paura del telefono.. mah ci sono soluzioni tanto più economiche e meno invasive e con più possibilita di accesso. Sconsigliata!!
