Charming but tiny.
These scissors are so pretty and charming. I love how they resemble a stork gracefully craning its neck upwards to the sky. The colorful, dainty floral designs covering the handles are very charming as well, and do cover both sides of the scissors. These scissors are billed as embroidery scissors, and they are work very well for that, but due to their tiny size, they are not useful for much else than snipping threads while embroidering, cross-stitching, hand sewing or doing some other kind of needlework. They are much too small for any sort of paper crafting or really much of anything beyond snipping threads. I suppose if you needed to do some sort of intricate paper or fabric cutting these would work well because the sharp, narrow blades allow you to cut with precision. These scissors would fit a very small child's hand well, but of course the blades are much too pointy and sharp for a young child to safely handle. (Photo included showing how both pairs of scissors fit in the palm of my hand.) Despite their small size, these scissors are fairly heavy (for their size) and seem to be made of stainless steel, and made very well. The blades are sharp enough to cut thick or thin threads and yarns, plus paper and thinner cardboard and fabric. However, again because they are so small, they would be very inefficient at cutting anything but threads or yarns. Trying to cut more than a few inches of something like paper or fabric would certainly be frustrating and probably make your fingers hurt and your hand cramp. However, for their described purpose, they work just fine. They are tiny and would easily fit in a "to-go" bag for someone who likes to carry small needle-craft projects with them to work on while in a doctor's waiting room, while their kids are at sports practice, or similar situations when they have time on their hands. Their small size really does add to their charm. They are quite adorable. They would make a lovely gift or stocking stuffer for anyone who enjoys embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, etc., or even for someone who just likes birds or any sort of charming, unusual little treasure.

Pretty, and practical for their specific use, could cut better
I love how these little scissors look. They have such pretty colors on them, and they are so small and kind of old fashioned looking. I put a pair in my sewing kit and another in my crocheting kit, and it's nice to have small scissors especially made for hobbies like that. They are specially shaped to make using them in little or tight areas easier. I did find they didn't cut quite as well as I'd hoped. They seemed to be a bit not sharp enough, or the blades didn't come together quite right---I'm not sure which. But sometimes I had to try twice to get them to cut anything thicker than thread. If you are going to use them just for snipping thread, which certainly might be the case, they were fine for that, but when I tried to cut bits of fabric or yarn with them, they took a little effort. Not a severe problem, but I like to mention anything someone might want to know! Otherwise, pretty, useful and reasonably priced scissors.

Beautifully Charming & Feminine While Still Being Very Functional & Precise in Cutting Fine Details
This little scissor set has a surprising heft to it and each little pair of scissors feel solidly built and pleasant to hold. They cut cleanly and easily with no straggles nor bent paper, just a clean, precise cut. When not in use, the scissors stay shut and don't easily fling open. There is a bit more tightness than I expected when using them, but that may lessen with more and more use. There are little flat head screws in each pair of scissors, so if I find they don't lose some of the tightness, I may very slightly loosen them if it becomes an issue, which it hasn't yet. I do prefer the scissors to have more tension than looseness, but thought I'd mention it. The floral design and bird shape is altogether beautiful and beckons to be picked up and used. These are the scissors one wants to leave sitting out to enjoy the aesthetics and to have them within easy reach for little snips. They appear to be made very well, and the floral embellishing on the handles seems like it would hold up well for years with normal use and care. From snipping loose threads, cutting small pieces of fabric, to cutting fine details from paper, these are very good at getting the tiny little details accurately cut. Just looking at them sparks creativity in me. They are feminine and dainty, but will also serve as little workhorses at getting the small details done accurately. The packaging doesn't do these beauties justice. These do come packaged on a hanging card stapled to some plastic, which really doesn't do these justice as far as how giftable these are. I would consider trying to put them in a nicer package if I were gifting them to someone, but frankly if these were gifted to me as is, I'd personally still be delighted. These would make genuinely delightful gifts for those who enjoy sewing, embroidering or doing fine papercrafting. I can't imagine a crafty person not loving these for their beauty and of course, superb functionality. Thanks for reading.

Cute but..
These scissors are super cute and they work BUT, I just scissors by not only how they cut, but how smoothly the blades come together. While these do cut, they do not open and close smoothly. There is friction there. Even kids school scissors manage to have very little friction. So for that reason, I don’t these are very high quality.

Tame Those Bushy Eyebrows
Although these are promoted as being embroidery scissors, my main reason for wanting them, is to tame unruly eyebrows. As a woman that is screeching towards being a senior, it's both odd and unfair, one's hair on the top of one's head gets a bit thinner, but in some odd twist of fate one's eyebrows become long and more unruly with each passing year. Why can't that happen to your eyelashes instead of your eyebrows? After being brushed upwards with a spoolie or even a toothbrush, I take this tiny scissors and snip away. I would assume that since they do it such a nice job on coarse hair, they would work beautifully on embroidery thread. And they are so cute! You received two scissors, each with slightly different patterns. Whatever your reason for purchasing, they make you smile.

Gorgeous Embroidery Scissors with Old-Fashioned Design
With this purchase, you get two pair of beautifully colored little scissors; both for embroidery, with one larger to handle the bigger jobs. I use them both, and love them both. They arrived very sharp, and have dulled slightly with a great deal of use. The scissors have holes for your fingers that are just big enough for my fingers, and are angled perfectly to get all the work out of each cutting movement. The stork design is traditional, and is part of the reason that children are so anxious to find them and use them. The only problem is keeping these guys out of the hands of family members who think that paper and cardboard are great to use with embroidery scissors. I have one pair of the scissors put away until I get a chance to go to the knife sharpening place to see if they are done for good, and the other pair of scissors is hidden away. The guilty family members are under threat of death if they cut paper with my good scissors with this pair, too. As long as the paper cutting brigade stays away from your scissors, they are perfect: sharp, comfortable, and well-cutting. They should be able to last years before needing sharpening. I suggest buying boatloads of cheap paper cutting scissors and strewing them about the house, so your scissors are never the easiest ones for someone to reach when they are planning on cutting paper.

cute and sharp
Those are replica stork scissors, but they also added colored design on top. The scissors are pretty sharp and cut the whole length of the blade, both of them, no dull spots or spots would miss each other. The scissors look totally cute

Fancy scissors that make me smile!
If these lovely embroidery scissor have caught your eye and kept your interest long enough for you to read the reviews about them, just stop reading now and buy them. Seriously...if you like the look of them, trust me when I say the quality will not disappoint you, and just buy them. They are gorgeous, they have that heavy feel of quality, they are sharp, and they are tight and well-made...no floppy, sloppy scissors here. And the price for all this is amazing! I mean, sure, they are just scissors, but I love having small, surprising touches of luxury around the house. They just make me feel fancy for a few minutes! I have a pair with my crafting kit, and another pair is in the drawer by the front door for those random moments you need scissors (or I do, at least). These beautiful scissors with their floral design would be wonderful gifts, too, especially for somebody who enjoys crafting. Please note that they are very sharp and pointy, so while the size might seem perfect for children's smaller hands, they wouldn't be suitable for kids. Now, please stop reading and go buy yourself these beautiful fancy scissors! They're a treat you won't regret...and they would make a wonderful gift, too!
