Rothco Waxed Canvas Shoulder Duffle Bag

The quality of the leather and the stitching is great. Well worth the price. I use mine all the time for over a year now and its held up very well.

I bought this bag with the intention of putting some tools inside because the bag that I have my tools in right now is too nice to get messed up. The small tiny problem with this bag is it's just as nice as my other bag. It's even too nice to put tools inside. I have a few of the rothco 19-inch bags and the difference with this one is that there is a nice lining inside and the outside looks like a high-quality bag. So now I'm stuck with the same old problem I need something that I can put my tools in it that doesn't look as nice as this. Very well made, good zippers, tough fabric. It's about the same size as my Condor Centurian duffle bag except I can fold this up nice and compact. Well I'm a happy camper

Amazing bag for the price. I read reviews about people claiming it was not waxed. I had no issue with mine (I assume people dont see in the multiple choice tabs, that not all are waxed). Great bag for the price. I believe its more than worth the price, yet i would suggest 1 manufacturing improvement. The shoulder strap attachment points (where D rings attach to bag), could have a longer or wider anchor strap. This would allow it to be secured better, since i have a fear it might rip in a few years.

Excellent bag! Nice and simple. Durable fabric and seams. Well constructed everywhere EXCEPT the clasps (little carabiner type things) that attach the shoulder strap to the bag. They fall off easily, so you have to take 20-30 seconds to fiddle with it to reattach the shoulder strap. If that one thing were fixed, then I would recommend it to friends and family. Would be an outstanding bag for the price. However, with the annoying shoulder strap mechanism it’s a solid “pretty good”. Would love to hear anyone’s tips for keeping that shoulder strap attached to the bag. Maybe just buy a 3rd party shoulder strap? Water resistance: The material is quite water resistant. It would keep the insides dry for any walk from car to gym or car to home. However, it would let some water in through the zipper and seams if left or carried in a downpour for more than 2-3mins, or light rain for more than 5-10mins. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend checking it as luggage. But would make a great carry-on. (I did use it once as a carry-on & was great.) However, that’s not a hit because I wouldn’t expect many waxed canvas bags to be more water resistant than this one.

I travel for my wildlife photography. Weight limits are always an issue on the small bush planes and some boats. This stores well. The canvas is not easily damaged and is quite water resistant. Very functional if you travel in rougher conditions.

I have bought several in different sizes. No complaints at all. Wax canvas is tuff stuff. These bags hold up great. Even loaded with ammo on range days. They haven't ripped. The strap stays at the length it as been adjusted to. No problem with the zippers, (they stay zipped). Color of bags is as advertised. Great bag at a reasonable price.

I like this bag ok. But I was really excited, expecting it to be dark brown as shown in the photo. I'll be using it a lot and the dark brown would go well with my wardrobe and hair. Instead of dark brown it is a kind of an icky mottled very dark khaki green. I am so not pleased. But there is no UPS store to use to return it, and I don't have time for that anyway. I have no idea if every so-called brown bag looks like mine, but if you really want brown be prepared to return it if it shows up icky.
